Chapter 23 | 𝔸𝕨𝕒𝕣𝕕𝕤 ℂ𝕖𝕣𝕖𝕞𝕠𝕟𝕪

(Y/N)'s POV:

*Previously*

Todoroki was laying on a pile of his ice knocked unconscious. Bakugou then stood up and started to run towards Todoroki's unconscious form, he then grabbed onto Todoroki's short and lifted him up "Hey! Stop messing around! This isn't a real win for me unless you try harder! It can't end this way! Now get up!" He screamed at Todoroki, all the sudden he fell unconscious, Midnight used her quirk and was walking up to them both "Todoroki is out of bounds. That means... Bakugou is the winner!" Midnight announced and the crowd cheered. I didn't know why I cared so much about Todoroki or wondering if he was ok.

*Present Time*

"And with that, the final match is officially over! The first year champion of the UA sports festival is: Katsuki Bakugou from class 1-A!" Present Mic shouted and the crowd cheered. All the first year students have completed all of the event for the UA sports festival. Now it's time to relax and enjoy the awards ceremony." Midnight said. People with cameras were lined up behind a gate fence thing, fireworks went off. Three podiums were lifted from out of the ground, and they were pretty high off the ground. I was standing on the third place one, Todoroki on the second place one, and Bakugou tied to the first place one "Geez, he needs to calm down..." I thought, Midnight turned towards the photographers "Tenya Iida actually shares the third place award with Ishicu. But unfortunately he had to leave for family reasons." Midnight explained "Its probably about what he said to me, Ochako and Midoriya before he left." I thought.

-Flashback-

"(Y/N), Uraraka, Midoriya. I know that this is sudden, but I have to leave now. A villain got my older brother." Iida told us, we gasped a little bit "Wait, Ingenium is hurt?" Midoriya asked "Yes." Iida replied "Do they think he's gonna be ok?!" Ochako asked him, Iida tensed up "I don't know many details yet. That's why I have to go right away." Iida told us "I hope your brother is ok." I said "Me too." Iida replied

-Flashback End-

"Now, let's break out the hardware. Of course there's only one person worthy of distributing the awards." Midnight said and All Might jumped into the stadium and the crowd was cheering "All Might! The number one hero!" Midnight shouted as All Might landed in front of the podiums "So now that you're here All Might why don't you start the presentation." Midnight said holding up three medals. All Might walked up to me first "Young Ishicu, congratulations. You showed great strength an d determination out there." He said, I bowed my head and he put the medal around my neck "Thank you sir." I said, he then came up and hugged me "But you still have a lot of training to do, and don't push yourself to hard." He said and let go of me, I bowed. I looked down at my medal and smiled, sure, I wanted first but this is just as good. He then moved onto Todoroki "Young Todoroki. Congratulations." All Might's said and placed the medal around his neck "I'm assuming there's a reason you didn't use your left side." All Might said "Midoriya and Ishicu opened my eyes during our matches. But then I started to doubt myself. I want to be the kind of hero you are. But my path, isn't as clear as I thought it was. I have a lot to think about. And I still need to settle things with someone, very soon." Todoroki said, I felt a small smile slip onto my face. All Might hugged Todoroki and then moved onto Bakugou "And now Young Bakugou. This is a little much." All Might's said taking off the piece that was over his mouth "You did what you said you'd do. You're true to your word." All Might said "All Might...!" Bakugou said "He's gonna explode..." I mumbled shaking my head a bit "Winning first place this way... doesn't prove that I'm the best one here! Even if the world considers me the winner, I refuse to except it like this!" Bakugou shouted "In a world where we're constantly being compared to one another, there are few who can keep their eyes focused on the top spot, you're one of them." All Might said he then held up the first place medal "Please except this medal. Even if you have to think about it as a scar. This is something you'll never forget." All Might's said "I don't want that piece of garbage!" Bakugou shouted, All Might tried to put the medal over his head but it just ended up hanging from his mouth. I just rolled my eyes at him "Here they are, the winners on the UA sports festival! But listen closely, any of you first years could've ended up standing on these podiums. Think about what you've done today. You've challenged each other, learned and climbed even closer towards your goals of being pros. I think the next generation of heroes is gonna be the most promising ones yet! So I have one more thing to say. I want to hear everyone say it with me. You know what it is." All Might said "Plus Ultra!" The whole crowd cheered.

We were all back in our classroom "Nice work, you have the next two days of school off to recuperate. I'm sure the pros who watched the festival will want to recruit some of you. We'll look at the draft forms when you return. Get some rest, you still have a lot of training." Aizawa said "Yes sir." We said in unison. I looked over to see the medal still in Bakugou's mouth and he was shaking out of anger. I then looked over at Iida's empty desk "I hope his brother is ok." I thought.

I soon got into my apartment and my phone rang, I picked it up and saw it was my mother, I answered it "Hello." I said "(Y/N)! Are you ok?! Are you still hurt?! You did amazing!" I heard my mother's voice shout from the other line "I'm doing fine. I have the next two days off." I told her "That's good, I'll call you every time I'm free off of work." My mother said "Ok." I replied "I'm gonna let you get some sleep, you must be exhausted." She said "Yeah, thanks." I said yawning "Goodnight sweetie, love you." She said "Love you too." I replied and hung up. I then went to my room, changed into pjs, cooked some ramen for supper and went to sleep.
