Throwing rocks at your window
at midnight
-Yoongi stares at the piece of paper laying on his coffee table like it's a foreign object to him.
It was a letter - from one of his colleague.
He keeps staring at the letter, trying to think about why he even agreed in the first place.
Yoongi stood up from where he was sitting and walks towards a door at the far corner of his studio.
He opens it to reveal another medium-sized room that is full of paintings.
Broken paintings, to be exact.
Yoongi doesn't know how many years it has been since he stored those paintings like a treasure chest, and why he had hold onto them instead of throwing it away.
He frowns and turns his head back to look at the contract again, and thinks.
Was he really ready?
Was he ready to throw it all away?
Was he ready to begin again?
Something inside him ache as he looks at the paintings one last time and made a decision.
He quickly fishes out his phone and dials someone - an action that he will do for the first time ever since.
The person he called picks up instantly at the first ring, and Yoongi actually smiles at that.
"Hi Yoo -"
"V-Van .."
---
Yoongi took the last piece of the paintings out of the room, and lets out a sigh of relief once he puts it down.
It was really tiring to move the paintings one by one, complete with other broken woods.
He wipes a sweat from his forehead and sits down, as he waits for a certain someone to arrive.
Soon enough the doorbell rang, and Yoongi quickly made his way towards it.
He opens it and came face to face with a grinning male, who hugs him instantly onced he saw him.
Yoongi wrinkled his nose in disgust playfully, but hugs back nevertheless.
"Yoongi! I'm glad you called me, i've been waiting for you," the male exclaimed, still clinging onto the painter.
The blonde-haired male only chuckles and pats his back, before gesturing for him to break the hug.
The male did, and smiles widely. He then looks around at the studio and when he saw the paintings, he immediately walks towards it.
"So you wanna restore it?" Yoongi heard him ask as he picks up one canvass.
Yoongi shooks his head, and gestures for the box of matches on the side.
"But Yoongi -"
" p-please ..,"
Yoongi was playing with his fingers, which was slightly covered by the sleeves of the red hoodie he always wore, and has his head hung low.
The male, whose name was Van, smiles.
"Are you sure Gi? There will be no restoring it if i burn it,"
Yoongi chews his bottom lip as he thinks deeply for a few minutes. He lifts up his head to stare at Van, and nods his head.
"Alright. I'll call for some help, okay? Stay here." Van instructed and leaves Yoongi.
The painter sighs and looks around the studio, which is now full of mess. He looks back at the paper on the coffee table, before walking towards it and picks it up.
He reads it again and again, and when Van came back he gives it to him.
"N-Next month .." Yoongi said.
Van was confused at first but when he looks at the letter, his mouth stretches out into a wide smile.
"Oh hyung - i'm glad!" He exclaimed as he hugs Yoongi tight again.
And Yoongi only smiles also while hugging him back.
---
"Are you really sure about this?" Yoongi heard Van asked.
They are now on the backyard of Van's spare house, where they have decided to burn the paintings.
Yoongi nods, and Van began drenching the paintings with gasoline and was about to light a match up when Yoongi stops him.
"Second thoughts?" Van asked again.
The painter took something from his pocket and stares at it, before throwing it also to the pile. Yoongi took the matchbox from Van's hand and lights one match himself.
He stares at the flickering orange flame for a solid 30 seconds and throws it on the pile - a large flame erupted in a matter of seconds.
Van steps back from the sudden rage of heat but Yoongi didn't flinched even a bit. The painter continues to stare and stare at the big flame infront of him, with his hands balled up into fists.
Crushing the matchbox in the process.
The flame dances infront of his eyes, as if it's mocking Yoongi; and the blonde-haired male gritted his teeth.
"Why do you paint this Yoongi?"
"Because i appreciate Art,"
Yoongi keeps staring at the flames in full fury and disdain - the fire in his heart complimenting the same fire in his eyes;
"Does that means i'm an art for you?"
"A one of a kind art, Chan"
Yoongi smiles at himself.
"An art that needs to be preserved,"
