46: Thanksgiving part I

I sat in the waiting room of the doctor's office, flipping through magazines. Feeling my phone vibrate in my back pocket I pulled it out.

Hey baby!

A smile came to face as I replied.

"(Y/N?)" The nurse called my name catching my attention.

Gathering my stuff I followed her into a room and began waiting yet again for my doctor to come in.

What are you up to?

At the doctor's, you?

Wiping my eyes I let out another yawn. It was Monday afternoon and all I wanted to do was sleep until the next morning.

Are you okay?

Yes, just need more bc.

Bill
BC?

Birth control.

Bill
Oh!

I let out a giggle as another text came through.

Bill
Do you want me to pick you up?

That's sweet but I'm okay taking the bus!

Bill
What time is your appointment over?

Bill...

Bill
?

It should be done in about 15...

Bill
I'll see you then.

Letting out a sigh I jumped as I heard the exam room door opening.

Standing outside of the office I could see Bill's car pull into the parking lot. I walked over to it as he parked and climbed into the passenger seat.

"Hey" I greeted him.

He leaned over and gave me a kiss, taking me by surprise.

"How are you?" I giggled.

"Better now" he stated.

"Is everything okay?"

"Oh yeah! I'm just always better when I'm with you."

My heart exploded as I stuck out my bottom lip into a pout, "babe!"

"What?" He asked as he began driving.

"That was so sweet..."

He grabbed my hand and ran his thumb against the back of it. "I mean it!"

We sat in silence for a moment as I watched out the passenger side window.

"So, how did it go?"

I looked back over to him, his eyes staying towards on the road, "it was good." I shrugged.

"Did they say anything?"

"She didn't say anything really, it was just a routine check up and then got a refill."

He just nodded in response.

"Is everything okay?" I asked again hesitantly.

"What? Oh yeah, everything's fine I just don't know much about... That stuff."

"You mean about gynecologists?"

He shifted in his seat slightly, "yeah..."

"It's not really that big of a deal, it's just to make sure everything's okay... Down there."
