CHAPTER 4: Ice Cream

Thea's POV

With the half moon and stars scattered in the sky, I was still in front of Kyle's house. I did not allow myself to wear the COMI uniform with him. I decided to went home first before going out with him. It was my lucky day to go out because Mama was not in the house when I came back. I only texted her that I went to Kath so she would not be mad.

It was already eight o' clock in the evening and I was still with him while we were sittin outside their house.

"Ang galing mo talaga!"

He was looking at my photography collection in my phone.

"Really? But I still want to improve," I stated.

"Sus! Ano pang improvement gusto mo? Every photo you capture was the best."

I smiled genuinely. "Thank you!"

"Alam ko na!" He uttered.

"Ano?" Tanong ko na medyo natatawa.

"Alam ko na paano mai-improve photography skills mo."

I raised my eyebrow. "Paano?" I asked in curiousity.

He went closer beside me and opened the camera of the phone. He clicked the selfie button and put the phone in front of us.

"Smile!" He happily said while he's trying to have a selfie with me.

Without any hesitation, I smiled on the camera then he clicked the capture button multiple times.

"Ayan! Oh 'di ba? May improvement na... tayong dalawa," masaya niyang sabi habang nakatingin sa picture namin.

Umiling-iling nalang ako sa sinabi niya.

"Ewan ko sa 'yo! Akin na nga. Uwi na ako. May pasok pa bukas," saad ko.

Hindi naman niya binigay ang cellphone ko hanggat 'di na-share sa phone niya yung mga pictures.

"Oh ayan na. Ingat ka ah," sabi niya pagkaabot niya sa 'kin ng cellphone.

Tumango lang ako saka pinaandar na ang E-bike pauwi sa 'min. Buti nalang hindi ako napagalitan dahil wala pa si mama nang dumating ako.

Kinabukasan, maaga ako pumasok sa school gamit ulit ang E-bike. May tatapusin pa kasi akong essay at ipapasa rin ngayon. Nakalimutan ko kagabi dahil late na ako umuwi. Nakatulog na rin kasi ako agad after namin mag-usap sandali sa chat ni Kyle.

Ewan ko ba! Gumagaan na yung loob ko sa lalaking 'yon. I never imagined myself before being with a guy but it changed a lot right now.

I was lucky that I finished my essay before our instructor came. Halos wala naman ginawa sa mga naunang subjects kaya chill lang ang klase namin.

Break time na. I was only sitting on my chair while browsing on Facebook. I did not used to buy a food for break time because I saved it for lunch.

Suddenly, my classmate called.

"Althea! May naghahanap sayo."

Napakunot naman ako ng noo. Wala naman sinabi si Kath na pupunta siya dito. Tiningnan ko ang paligid ng room pero wala naman si Loreen.

"Sino?" Tanong ko habang nakatingin sa pinto ng classroom.

Biglang may lumitaw na ulo at kalahating katawan sa pinto.

"Hi!" Malakas na bati niya. Napatalon naman ako sa upuan ko dahil sa gulat.

Mabilis akong umalis sa upuan ko at pinuntahan siya.
