Everybody "Awhs." and "Oews." and they all turn to look at me. I give an awkward smile and my eyes get big. I turn to Evie and she looks at me with a knowing smile. I see Audrey running away from the field back towards the school. Somewhere deep deep down I feel a bit sorry for her. This is a harsh way to dump someone, but then again like I said, somewhere deep deep down. "Give me a beat!" Ben says as he points at the band. "Uno, dos, tres, quatro!" Doug counts and the band begins to play. Everybody claps along with them. Ben starts to dance a little, he gives me a big smile and my eyes widen. I look at Evie and then at Mal and then back to Evie again. "Oh, my God!" she says. I turn back to Mal. "What was in that-" I start. "Cookie." we say together.
    "Did I mention
    That I'm in love with you." he sings as he continues to dance and point at me. I look at him with my mouth open, arms hanging on my sides.
    "And did I mention
    There's nothing I can do." He jumps off the base from the canon. Mal and Evie start clapping along with the rest of the crowd and I cross my arms.
    "And did I happen to say
    I dream of you everyday?
    But let me-"
    "Shout it out loud." everybody sings with him and they punch their fists in the air at the base of the beat. Everybody starts dancing on their spot.
    "If that's okay, hey, hey." he says as he widens his arms while looking at me, questioning if it is okay.
    "Hey!" everybody sings and I am a bit taken back by Mal and Evie who shout it in my ears.
    "If that's okay." Ben sings and he takes a few steps back towards the team.
    "Hey!" everybody shouts. Even Jay shouts it and he smiles at me.
    "I met this girl that rocked my world like it's never been rocked." Ben sings as he starts to dance with Carlos.
    "And now I'm living just for her and I won't ever stop." They do some kind of foot dance move and do a few steps to one side and then back again to     their original spot.
    "I never thought that it could happen to a guy like me." They stop dancing and Carlos, Ben, and Jay are point at me.
    "But now look at what you've done, you got me down on my knees." The whole team falls to their knees, Ben included.
    "Because my love for you is ridiculous." The whole team rolls on their backs and kick their feet in the air. Carlos and Connor stand up and step beside     Ben.
    "I never knew." They grab his arms and pull him up.
    "Who knew?" everybody sings. Ben turns around and faces the crowd again.
    "That it could be like this.
    My love for you is-"
    "Ridiculous" everyone sings. Evie grabs one of my arms and shakes me singing the word ridiculous in my ear. The whole team is back on their feet again and     they form in a circle around Ben. Ben clicks the microphone back into the standard and Jay holds the standard so he can still sing into the microphone.
    "My love is R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S!" The team stands in a circle around him and Ben sings and forms the letters of ridiculous with his body.
    "R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S!" everybody sings and the team and cheerleaders copy Ben and form the letters with their bodies.
    "It's..." Ben sings as the team and cheerleaders start to dance.
    "Ridiculous!" everybody sings.
    "Just..."
    "Ridiculous!"
    "And I would give my kingdom for just one kiss." Ben sings and he blows me a hand kiss and the whole team looks at me and points one finger into the     air. I feel a blush creep onto my cheeks.
    "Well did I mention
    That I'm in love with you?
    And did I mention
    There's nothing I can do?" Ben sings as he grabs the standard, bends over and walks forward with small steps.
    "And did I happen to say" he sings as he turns back around with the team in a circle around him.
    "I dream of you every day?" The whole team turns around and points their fingers at me again.
    "But let me shout it out loud" everybody sings and the team springs up and down.
    "If that's okay, hey, hey." The whole team raises their shoulders as they look questioningly at me.
    "Yeah, if that's okay." Ben sings as he leans backward his hand on the stand so that he doesn't tip over. The team starts to dance again.
    "Hey!" everybody sings and they throw their hands into the air.
    "I gotta know which way to go, c'mon gimme a sign.
    You gotta show me that you're only ever gonna be mine." Ben sings as he dances with the whole team.
    "Don't want to go another minute livin' without you
    'Cause if your heart just isn't in it, I don't know what I'd do." he sings as he falls backward. The team catches and throw him into the air. He lands with     two feet on the ground and continues singing. I put my hands over my mouth and everybody around me screams and cheers.
    "Because my love for you is ridiculous."
    "Ridiculous." everybody sings.
    "I never knew"
    "Who knew?" everybody sings.
    "That it could be like this.

    "Ridiculous." everybody sings with him.
    "My love is R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S!" he sings and puts the microphone in the standard and forms the letters with his body again.
    "R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S!" everybody sings and the team and cheerleaders form the letters with their bodies.
    "It's..."
    "Ridiculous!" everybody yells.
    "Just..."
    "Ridiculous!" everybody yells again. A smile creeps on my face.

    C'mon now! Ho" he sings as he jumps around the standard of the microphone.
    "Oh, yeah." he sings as he runs past all his teammates to give them a high five.
    "Ho. Yow." he says as Carlos does the man split and comes right back up again. Ben puts the microphone into the stand and takes off his shirt.
    "Alright!" he sings and the whole team points at me, again.
    "Hey!" everybody yells and Ben throws his shirt at me. A few hands grasp for the shirt as it is flying in the air but I catch it and look at Ben with an open     mouth.
    "Alright!"
    "Hey!" everyone yells and the cheerleaders do these cool somersaults in the air.
    "Because my love for you is-"
    "Ridiculous." everybody sings with him.
    "I never knew" Ben sings as he get's onto a 'horse'. It's a costume with two people in it.
    "Who knew?" everybody sings. The 'horse' starts to walk and the team and cheerleads all gather behind it.
    "That it could be like this.
    My love for you is ridiculous." The 'horse' rises and Ben falls backward into the arms of a few cheerleaders.
    "My love is R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S!" The cheerleaders that caught Ben places his feet on their hands. 
    "R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S!" everyone sings as the team and cheerleaders form the letters with their bodies. The cheerleaders that were holding Ben throw him     up into the air and a few guys that stand on the bleacher catch him. My mouth falls open and I look at Evie and she laughs and I laugh with her.
    "It's..."
    "Ridiculous!" everyone yells.
    "Just..." Evie taps me on the shoulder and nods to our right. I look at my right and I see Ben floating towards us on arms. My mouth falls open in shock and I     take a step back and bump into Evie.
    "Ridiculous!" everyone yells. I turn around to look at Evie.
    "And I would give my kingdom for just one kiss." Ben sings. "Please Evie, help. Help!" I say. But she just smiles and turns me around and there is Ben,     standing in front of me.
    "C'mon now!" he sings and the beat ends. He takes in a few deep breaths and then he places one hand on the back of my head and leans forward. I pull up this shirt and lean backward as I squeal. He laughs, puts one arm around me and presses me against him. I give him an awkward smile. This is not the most comfortable I have ever been. "I love you, Kara! Did I mention that?" he says. The microphone gets ripped out of his hands and Audrey and Chad stand in front of us. "Chad's my boyfriend now!" she says as she puts an arm around his shoulders. Chad punches his arm into the air towards his teammates. The sympathy I had for her when she ran away disappears. This is a really desperate move and kinda sad actually. "And I'm going to the coronation with him. So I don't need your pity date." she says and then she kisses Chad. Everyone "Oews". Ben rips the microphone out of her hand. "Kara! Will you go to the coronation with me?" he asks. I hesitate for a moment and then I grab Ben's wrist and bring the microphone towards me. "Yes!" I say. "She said yes!" Ben says as he looks at the people around him and everybody starts to cheer. Ben looks back at me and Audrey and Chad walk towards the field. I look at Ben and he gives me a big loving smile. I give him back a small smile. Jay comes running up the stairs. "Let's go, Ben. The whole team's waiting for you." he says as he wraps an arm around his shoulder and pulls him away from me. "Yeah." Ben says and he finally looks away. "Bye." I say and Jay gives him a slight push and he starts walking down the stairs. Jay looks at me with a smirk on his face and wiggles his eyebrows. "They're waiting for you to dummy." I say shove him in the chest. He laughs and walks down the stair. "Whoo!" I say. I let out a laugh and I look at the shirt again. "What a victory. What a day for the Auradon knights," the announcer says. I turn my head towards Evie and see that she is looking disappointed and sad. The smile falls from my face. She liked Chad, even tho he is an asshole. "I feel really sorry for Audrey." I say. "You do?" she asks me. "Yeah." I say and I look at the team on the field. "I feel like is she were talented like you, and she knew how to sew, and knew beauty tips, that she wouldn't need a prince to make her feel better about herself." I say as I look back at Evie. A smile creeps onto her face and she lets out a laugh. She looks at me. "I guess I am kind of talented." she says and lets out another laugh. "You are definitely gifted." I say and laugh with her. "Thanks, K." Jay gets lifted into the air with the cup in his hands and everybody starts to cheer. "And there he is! Jay, the most valuable player." the announcer says. Carlos turns around and looks at us at he jumps into the air. Evie and Mal start to clap and I throw my fist in the air and let out a yell. Jay heard my yell. He looks at me, smiles and points his finger at me. I laugh. They seem really happy.

Because the knights won the big game yesterday we only have classes until noon today. I haven't seen Ben since the game yesterday and to be honest, I am kind of avoiding him. I don't know why I guess I am a bit overwhelmed because of the song. "Hey, Kara." someone calls my name. I turn around and Ben comes jogging towards me. "Hey, Ben." I say and he stops in front of me. "I haven't seen you since the game yesterday, are you okay?" he asks with a concerned look on his face. "Oh, yeah I am fine." I say and I smile at him. He smiles back at me. "Well in that case. Since we are free at noon, would you like to go on a date with me?" he asks as he grabs both of my hands in his. "A date?" I ask with a confused look on my face. "Yeah, a date." he says as his smile falls a bit. "Uh, yeah sure." I say and I give him a small smile. "Great!" he says excitedly. "I will pick you up at 12:30, okay?" he says as he takes a few steps backward. He turns around and starts to jog away. "Okay." I say.
    I am so dead. A date?! What was I thinking? I've never been on a date before. Why did I say yes? Okay, okay calm down. I need to find Evie. I am on the grounds, looking for Evie. After what felt like an eternity I finally spot her blue hair. She is sitting at one of the blue picnic tables with Doug. I walk up to them. "There you are! I have been looking for you literally everywhere!" I say as I stand at the head of the table. Evie and Doug turn towards me. "What's wrong?" she asks. I slam my hands down on the table. "Ben just asked me out on..." I let out a sigh and turn my head towards the right. I look back and take a sharp intake of breath. "A date." I say. Doug lets out a small laugh. "Nice." he says. Evie smiles at me. "We can handle this." she says as she gets her paper. "Bye." she says to Doug. "Bye." he says. She steps towards me. "You're looking a little pale..." she says as we start to walk away form the picnic table. "Well, yeah, of course." I say. "I can fix that with some gloss and some blush." she says. "No!" I say. "Kara, I can use the..." she starts. "No, no, no." I say. "Don't be scared." she says. "I am not scared." I say. "Just..."
    "Nervous." Evie says. "No. Why would I be nervous?" I ask. "Because you've never been on a date before and you clearly like this guy." she says. "Evie!" I say. "I don't like him. I spelled him into liking me for God's sake."
"Okay, okay, okay." she says.
