"Welcome to the stage...Tom Holland!" Tom walked out of the elevator and the camera followed him towards the couch. The audience cheered for Tom as he walked out, looking rather dashing in his suit if you did say so yourself. You clapped for him from the comfort of your couch, wearing your robe and fluffy bunny slippers.

You were supposed to do the show with Tom tonight because it was part of the press tour for the newest installment of Spider-Man. You and Tom did almost every single interview together. Partly because you were the co-lead on the film and the two of you were in almost every scene together, and partly because Benedict wasn't in this movie so it was your job to keep SpoilerMan from running rampant.

"So," James clapped the stack of cards in his hands against his desk. "How have you been, Tom?"

"I've been pretty good." Tom smiled his stupid, beautiful smile that made your heart flutter. "But I'm also extremely nervous if I'm being honest. My palms are all sweaty." He chuckled nervously and the crowd laughed as Tom wiped his palms on his pants.

"Why are you so nervous, Thomas," James questioned dramatically. You turned up the volume on the TV. Why was Tom so nervous? He'd been on The Late Late Show before.

"Well," he rubbed the back of his neck. "Because Y/n isn't here."

You raised your eyebrows and looked at James on the screen, waiting for him to ask Tom what you were thinking because you were sure he was too.

"Why does her not being here make you nervous," James asked teasingly, smiling slyly and wriggling his shoulders. You rolled your eyes so hard they hit the back of your head. You knew what James was getting at and so did Tom.

Your character in the movies was Lexi Stark, the daughter of Tony Stark, and she Peter's love interest, which meant everybody and their mother (apparently including James) wanted the two of you to get together. Truth be told, so did you.

You've had a crush on Tom since Infinity War - more specifically, since the day you filmed the dusting scene. Thinking about the loss of Peter made you think about what it would feel like it lose Tom and that's when it clicked. Whether you liked it or not, Thomas Stanley Holland had taken up a permanent residence in your heart and in your minds.

Unfortunately for you, you knew there was no way in heck Tom felt the same. Your friendship had been strictly platonic for the last 5 years and Tom had never hinted at wanting anything more than just that. Plus, you were 99.9% sure he had a crush on Zendaya.

"Well I'm nervous because, obviously, I'm really bad at keeping secrets," Tom emphasized the 'really' making the crowd laugh. "And Y/n is really good at keeping me from spoiling things. She saved me from spoiling the end of the film in our last interview so I'm quite nervous I'm going to let something slip without her here to literally slap a hand over my face and shut me up."

"Ahh," James his cards on the desk. "I don't know about you all, but I'm ready for spoiler man to strike. For those of you who don't know," James turned to face the crowd. "The wonderful Y/n L/n," the crowd cheered at the mention of your name and James had to pause and wait for them to quiet down. "Was supposed to be on the show with Tom tonight but had to cancel last minute because she caught the flu. How is Y/n doing by the way? Is she feeling any better?"

"She's still sick as a dog," Tom explained and James smiled sympathetically. "I checked on her earlier today and she was..."

"WHAT THE HECK IS HE DOING," you screamed at the TV as Tom relayed the story of how he'd come by earlier today to drop off some food and ended up holding your hair back while you threw up. You grabbed your phone and hit the dial button before Tom could embarrass you any further.
