With Trollex:

Trollex and Beat flew up to the ledge while Poppy and Branch used their hair to rappel themselves up.

“Alright, so we don’t have a map or anything to help us navigate through these tunnels. We don’t know where Riff and Barb ended up, and we have no idea what to expect. Are you all ready for this?” asked Branch, his hands on his hips as he examined the tunnel ahead of them.

Poppy smiled and nodded, taking out her flashlight while Trollex did some stretches, his joints popping before he shook himself off. This caused his entire body to glow up brightly, like a glowstick.

Poppy squealed excitedly.

“Oh my gosh! I just realized you’re like a giant glow stick!” exclaimed Poppy, having just witnessed Trollex pop his joints in order to make his body glow brighter than it had in the tunnel of acidic fungi.

Trollex chuckled, his hands resting on his hips.

“You just realized this?” he asked, unable to help but smile.

Poppy nodded, grinning excitedly as she grabbed his arm, examining it.

Branch chuckled, shaking his head.

“Alright, let’s go then” said Branch, smiling and nodding in determination.

The three nodded as they followed Branch into the tunnel, Trollex’s body glowing brightly and allowing them to see where they were going.

The four ventured through the tunnel for a while, not knowing what to expect as they followed it down.

Poppy and Branch had to climb down a small slope as Trollex and Beat floated nearby, making sure they didn’t slip and fall because of the damp moisture accumulating on the rocks.

They passed by stalactites and stalagmites, and even ran into a large cave covered in crystal, several creatures being encased within as if they were suspended in time.

Beat gasped and stopped, seeing one creature that looked somewhat similar to him, only it was bigger and more feral looking.

“Look guys! It’s another Beat Drop Button fish, yo!” exclaimed Beat, smiling as he examined the fish that looked a little like him.

The three came over and were quite shocked when they saw this.

“Huh...you’re right! I wonder how it got all the way down here and stuck in the crystal” said Trollex, curious as to why the fish was down here in the first place.

Most of the creatures encased in the crystals were all land creatures, most of them being extinct while others were not, such as the feral looking juvenile Cuddle Pup and the Growl Beast. There was even a large silhouette of a Greygon, barely seen through the crystal wall.

Branch shrugged.

“This could have been from before the strings were split. Techno Trolls used to live at the Troll Tree, too, and we might be directly below it. Perhaps it got separated and accidentally came down here?” suggested Branch, trying to think rationally.

Poppy nodded in agreement, but frowned.

“But that still doesn’t explain why they’re all trapped in the crystal like this. Is it like amber?” asked Poppy, placing the palm of her hand on the crystalized wall, staring at the poor creatures that were trapped within.

Branch shrugged.

“Probably, but there’s no way of telling for sure. Come on, we should probably keep going. We don’t want to stick around too long, in case some of these creatures happen to still be alive, although I highly dodge it since they’re all trapped” said Branch, turning and walking away from the large crystalized wall.
