Diamond is not dense nor dumb. She pretty much established this as a universal fact when she graduated from law school. But sometimes, Yu Yan wonders where her wife stores away her brain cells.

Yu Yan had been dropping hints a lot lately. She’s been purposely taking longer around the children’s clothes section when they go clothes shopping. She’s been reading childcare books right in front of Diamond’s face. It's quite obvious that Yu Yan wants a…

*softly whispers* Baby.

Yu Yan thinks it's about time. They've been together for so long. The Major General feels ready now more than ever. She wants to resign from the army, settle down, and start a family.

But Diamond? She's been acting dumb like she doesn't even know what a baby is.

The truth is that Diamond was scared to have a baby. She's afraid that they won't have enough time to be involved in the child's life. She didn't want the child to grow up feeling unloved and uncared for.

The couple talked it through over wine one night in bed. Yu Yan expressed her feelings about having kids and Diamond shared her concerns. After reassuring each other and quelling each other's worries, they finally agreed to have a child.

Yu Yan suggested that they adopt a child instead of going through the whole pregnancy process. Diamond agreed to her plan. But neither of them has taken care of a kid before. They surely would need a lot of experience with children to be qualified to adopt one.

So, Diamond came up with an ingenious plan.

"So, as you all know," Diamond began. "Our marriage anniversary is coming up."

"Yeah, we know," Kiki answered for everyone in the room. Yuxin and Xiaotang nodded.

"This year we're doing something different," Yu Yan said. "And you're all invited."

"Are you guys inviting us to an orgy?" Xiaotang raised a brow.

"An orgy? Where the fuck did you get that idea from?" Yuxin said as she smacked Xiaotang.

"I don't know. She said we're all invited so I just assumed."

"Well, don't assume things like that!" Yu Yan yelled. "We're not doing anything like that. No. Fucking. Way."

"Then what are you doing?" Kiki interrupted.

"Let me finish, Xu Jiaqi," Yu Yan glared towards the girl. "We are going to volunteer for a day at an orphanage."

"That's nice," Yuxin said. "Any particular reason why?"

"Well, Yu Yan and I," Diamond looked at her wife and smiled. "We're planning on starting our family so we need to be qualified to adopt kids."

Cheers erupted from the other three people in the room.

"Congratulations!!!"

"Oh my god! Finally!"

"We're going to be aunts!!"

"Guys, guys, we aren't done yet!" Diamond tried to calm them down. "We want you guys to come too, and invite other people! The more the merrier!"

"Okay then!" Kiki whipped out her phone. "It's time to call my girlfriend."

Everyone turned to Kiki.

"Girlfriend?" Yuxin asked.

"Oh, I haven't told you guys?" Kiki asked, incredulous. "Shaking and I are dating."

Another round of cheers erupted from the others.
