"Do you think this is fine?"
Aliseo's standing five feet away from me, checking the dress I want to wear. His brows are furrowed by thinking, I don't know if this really good or not.
"That's good. You want to be Rose DeWitt Bukater?" Humalakhak siya pagkatapos.
"Why? She's good din naman!"
We're talking about the clothes I'm wearing for Papa's birthday. Birthday na kasi niya sa twenty seven and he told us that he'll celebrate it but.. with a twist.
"I want it to be a costume-themed party," Papa immediately said when we asked what his plans to the party.
Kumunot ang noo ko, sumulyap ang ngisi sa labi ni Aliseo habang ang mga Ninong ko naman ay biglang bumulusok sa pagtawa.
I looked at Aliseo and he's also chuckling from what we heard. Really? Is that what he really wanted for his birthday?
Okay lang naman sa akin, gusto naman niya iyon and I in no way reject what he really wanted. "You're almost forty, yet you want to have a party like a kid?" Ninong Chris asked.
"We only live once and I want you guys to see how you look like in different clothes." Buong duration ng lunch ay nagtatawanan lang silang lahat dahil sa napag-usapan namin.
Aliseo was confused about me kasi hindi ako kagaya nila na natawa sa narinig. Although they were right lang naman but it's Papa's choice naman.
"I don't think he's not allowed to have that kind of party, Conte." I answered whilst he's still in the verge of his own happiness.
Hindi na lang siya sumagot at sinabihan ako na sasamahan niya akong kumuha ng costume. When I told him what he'll wear, he doesn't know pa.
"It's your choice, you will look good in red hair." Lumapit siya sa akin at naglibot pa sa store. He's looking for clothes din to wear.
Bumalik ako sa fitting room at sinukat iyon. It's all good in me, it hugged my curves that good and maybe he's right, I should maybe wear a red wig to achieve the appearance of Rose.
Lumabas akong muli at nakita na nakabalik na si Aliseo uli. He checked myself again and thankfully, he nod his head. "Sigurado ka na diyan?"
"Yep! Wala na akong maisip na iba," actually, marami pa talagang choices but I don't see myself sa mga costumes na nakikita namin.
I have a few similarities with Kate Winslet and that's good for me to portray the character she played before!
Matagal na simula nang mailabas ang film na iyon but at least! "Okay. Tara na sa counter,"
Inalis ko iyon at maingat na binalik sa hanger. Habang papunta kami sa cashier, iniisipan ko na siya kung anong puwede niyang suotin.
Seriously? One week na simula nang sabihin sa amin ni Papa ang plano niya pero wala pa siyang naiisip? Ano bang gusto niya maging? Ang dami kayang nakapalibot sa amin!
"You really have no idea?" I asked and put the dress on the counter.
He shrugged, "Don't be so paranoid. Malayo pa ang birthday ni Ninong, makakapag-isip pa ako."
Umirap naman ako sa kaniya at hindi na lang nagsalita. I payed for the dress I bought and wig naman ang sumunod namin na binili. I chose the red one so I can really be like Rose.
We ate before we went home. Pagbalik sa bahay, nakibalita lang ako sa beadle namin kung ano na ang gagawin for our graduation.
Sakto na two days before Papa's birthday ay ang graduation namin. Sinabi ko kay Papa na sa birthday na rin niya kami magcelebrate for my graduation, para isahan na lang.
