A Brush of Fate

With an angel's wing,
Feathers soft and light,
You brushed beside me
In the dead of night.

I know it was your hand
Telling me where to go.
I came so close to death,
That is how I know.

You drew near to me,
Nearer than before
And saved my very life
So that I might live some more.

I thank you for that gift.
It brought me back to life.
It made me realize
How much I lived in strife.

That small stroke
Moved me towards big things.
I said the words I needed to
Because of an angel's wing.

I thank you for your gift.
I thank you for your love.
I thank you for this chance
To worship the One above.

A brush of fate
Can turn the tide.
An angel's wing
Can protect a life.

I know that night
There were three with me.
My gramma, my uncle,
And the Lord of Eternity.
