Winter brings us many gifts.
She gives snow and ice.
She gives frost and mist.
Delicate treasures for us to share.

Within Winter, there is also pain.
Misery and destruction often reign.
Those with greedy hearts
Cause the agony to start.

For you see, fantastical creatures
Roam Winter's woods,
Some are bad,
And some are good.

Be wary, my friend.
For the bad ones seek
Those full of hate and greed,
On which to feed.

It stalks you now.
I see its eyes.
They glow with lust,
With hunger and pride.

Looming in stature,
Gaunt in size,
Bloody antlers, its crown
Hunger, its demise.

Forever gluttonous,
Forever starving.
A terrible creature,
Whose presence brings chaos.

Famine and despair.
Death and decay.
If its appearance does not warn you,
The smell should give it away.

Run, my friend!
Into the woods!
Follow the snow
Towards your freedom.

Don't linger in the woods.
Run on still.
The creature that hunts you
Is looking to kill.

Spindly talons extend
Eager and ready
To tear mortal flesh.
Blood will stain the snow.

Run.
Run, my friend.
Before you are caught
By the Wendigo.
