You may know of
The Seven Sins.
Sins of woe
And Sorrow.
Envy and Greed.
Lust and Gluttony.
Pride and Wrath.
Sloth.
Each sin holds
A different meaning.
A different tone.
A different lie.
But to me,
Sloth is the most wicked,
And defiled
Of all.
By definition, reluctance.
Unwillingness.
Slowness.
Laziness.
It comes not only,
At the expense
Of you, but
Of others.
Sloth is harmful.
It grows and spreads.
It corrupts and deepens
The hold we dread.
The hand of Sloth
Is proud and strong.
It's hard to break
And to recover from.
So before you go,
Before you cling to Sloth,
Please remember
What it will cost.
Your dignity.
The respect of others.
A proud home
Left to ruin.
Sloth is harmful.
Never forget.
Of the Seven sins,
It's the deadliest.
