The picture above is by the lovely asuna17lucy who took the time to make me an amazing kickass cover/banner. Thanks so much hun I love it !!!

I walked into my office and dropped my bag by my desk, firing up the computer and shifting through my folders that were piled up on my desk, it was amazing you miss one day and all of sudden you had work by the truck load piled up on your desk waiting, needing your urgent attention. I sat down in my chair and looked through the emails. Damn it. I took a few days to plan getting back at my cheating fiancé and my life has gone a little out of control, my job that I loved was being left unattended and apart from some rather awkward phone calls with Julie who was rather off character lately.

I really need to check up on her.

I went through the remeanial task of replying to all the messages and emails before then sighing off on the layout of the building. I was still not entirely ok with saying goodbye to the building and knocking it all down but it wasn’t my decision.

Organizing everything I grabbed my folders and headed off to Wilder & McKinley Cooperation. I needed to focus on work for the next couple of days and that meant I needed Jordan to sign off on the plans so I could get started and keep myself distracted. Walking up to the elevator I ignored the blond bitch of a receptionist and pressed the button for the top floor.

“Wait hold the elevator!” Someone called out and I instinctively stuck my foot in the door. A man jogged into the elevator, his suit a mess and his dark blond hair was up in all directions like he has been running his hands through it. I recognized the man to be Jordan’s receptionist.

“Thanks.” He breathed a little out of breath as he pushed the button to one of the floors – finance I think, the one Broody worked on.

“You’re welcome.” I nodded and looked around. Do I ask him if he is the receptionist? “Your Jordan Wilder’s receptionist right?” I asked as I turned to face him. He was kind of cute, but in a little kid kind of way – he is only young after all – his strong angular features and strong jaw seemed some what familiar.

“Yeah, your Ms Sears right?” He asked turning to face me.

“Mia.” I nodded and stuck out my hand for him to shake which he did. He looked at the flashing numbers that listed the floors.

“I’m Rylie McKy.” He beamed at me, smiling brightly. There is something about that smile, something familiar. “Jordan isn’t in his office; he’s in one of the conference rooms if you need to speak with him.” His gaze flickered to my eyes but then rested just above my shoulder.

“Oh right.” I nodded and looked around the small elevator. “Can I ask you a question?”

“Yeah sure” he faced me once again.

“Are you related to him?” Those features looked so familiar.

“How the hell did you pick that? We look nothing a like.” He question, surprise evident in his voice.

“You both look over my shoulder instead of my eyes and I don’t know, I think it’s the smile.” I admitted.

He chuckled a little, flashing me that same smile. Yep definitely that smile. “He’s my second cousin, but that doesn’t stop him from working me into the ground.” He joked as the elevator opened and we walked out onto the finance floor – where Broody worked.

I fell into step beside him as we walked over to the conference room Jordan was in. Getting to the door we walked in to see Jordan finishing up a conversation with some older man with greying hair and bright blue eyes.
