Another two weeks flew by faster than I imagined and Arden nor Kylo had yet to return. Kylo was full blown ignoring me now, usually he'd reply with a simple 'hi' or an I'm okay' message- but now he doesn't even bother to open my messages.

About 2 days ago I learned to accept that he might not come back at all. Arden and Kylo must have had a terrible past that was threatening to come back to haunt Kylo that he decided it was better for him to stay away. Even though it hurts like hell for our relationship to keep repeating itself, I understand why he has to go and I won't jump in to fight him on it.

I know how it feels for him to leave once and I got over it, so can't I get over it a second time?

Biting down on my pen, I find my thoughts leaving me as the sound of stilettos hitting against the marble floor steals my attention.

I drop my pen from my mouth and turn my head in the direction of the sound, a familiar face smiles at me and I mirror their expression. I met Candace around a month ago when she was sent to fetch me in the bathroom when I mistakenly left my work phone at my desk and there was no other way to contact me. Ever since that day she has been an absolute sweet heart to me.

Candace stops the clicking of her heals as she continues to smile down at me, "How are you doing this morning Amelia?"

The sound of my full name caught me by surprise and I couldn't help but remain silent, my real name hasn't been used since my parents were still alive. Really they were the only ones to ever call me Amelia, I'd always preferred Mia because it was much more simple and Amelia reminded me of my god awful god-mother who mom named me after.

Hearing the name again after all these months brought back many amazing memories and I couldn't help but smile.

"Better than yesterday, I finally had a good nights rest" I smile softly at her and she holds her hand over her chest pouting genuinely.

"I can tell, you're absolutely stunning. I wish I'd left the bottle of whine alone last night and took my butt to bed" she joked sweetly and I felt my heart warming.

Even though Candace was nearing her mid 40s, she always had this young elegant glow to her that made anyone turn heads when she passed- including me so it almost seem impossible for her to look like she hadn't slept.

"Anyways before I forget the reason I came to you, Mr. West wants you to bring him up a coffee and a Greek yogurt" She says, giving me a small wave before leaving my sight.

I set there in disbelief at what she just said, Arden? When had Arden come back? And why hadn't he said anything?

Not thinking more than I wanted to I pull myself from my seat and head down to the kitchen to fetch Arden coffee and his yogurt before grabbing a coffee of my own.

I make my way up to Ardens office with strong uncertainty, What if my theory was true and Arden really was deciding to let me go and he lied to Candace about wanting me to bring him a coffee; that all he was planing on doing was to inform me on my last pay check.

What if he's pissed about me being here when he specifically told me to take a leave. All these thoughts were roaming through my head and I hadn't noticed I was pushing through Ardens office doors.

I swallow a great lump of air and walk over to his desk to greet him. As I made it half way towards his desk, I make notice of hislooks. He hadn't once looked at me since I came in but I admired his presence and attire. He wore the usual style of a business man but this is the first time I'd noticed him with a black suit and tie above a white long sleeve buckle down shirt.

Arden almost never wore black with his suits, he usually wore different variations of grey with a red tie but this was more expected in a suit and tie look and I almost fell to the ground by the sight of him in a black suit.
