"My boyfriend is gonna kick your ass!"

Wendy POV

It'd been a few weeks since Romeo and I have gotten to have a real "date night" to ourselves.

With him having baseball and the both of us having school and some exams coming up, our schedules have gotten pretty crazy and the only time we've gotten to spend with each other was at school or at each other's house after school, but no real alone time together.

Because of that we decided to spend this Saturday that we had free together the whole day.

We'd just gotten done having a late lunch, and we're trying to decide how we wanted to spend the evening together.

"Hey how about a movie Wen? I heard that there's a few good Romance movies showing, I know you're into those" Romeo asked, walking alongside me with his arm around my shoulder

I turned to him and smiled

"That's very sweet of you my love, but you hate those movies. Besides do you really wanna go see a movie? I'd rather go someplace where I can just be alone with you" I smiled as I nuzzled against his shoulder

"Yeah I guess you're right. Hey there's that cool art pop up gallery that's in town for this weekend. It's just a couple blocks from here. You wanna check it out?" my boyfriend offered.

"Sure that sounds great, but I do have to ask when where you ever into art?" I teased

"Hey you should know me by now, you're dating more than just a jock, I am a man of culture who appreciates the finer things in life. Plus I feel that looking at some art on this fine night may balance out my chi levels." He stated.

"Okay okay, come along now Confucius let's get to this gallery" I chuckled and grabbed his hand, allowing him to lead the way

We got to the gallery and spend a good hour and a half or so walking around looking at previous paintings.

It was quite astonishing seeing pieces from artists all around Fiore. Each piece had its own uniqueness to it, and it was pretty darn cute seeing my boyfriend geek out while examining different paintings.

Before we were about to exit the gallery and start to head home Romeo informed me that he wanted to have a conversation with one of the artists about one of their paintings.

I nodded and opted to wait for him outside

Bad move apparently

About 10 minutes into waiting for Romeo to finish up his conversation, I was approached my two young men.

They both looked older than Romeo and I, maybe about Gray and Natsu's age

For some reason they just gave me a bad vibe, so I averted eye contact with them and chose to look at the ground.

That is until I noticed a pair of sneakers come into my view while gazing down.

I looked up and one of the boys was in my face, bearing a seductive look that made my stomach turn.

"Hey cutie. Watcha doin out here all by yourself? Mind if we walk you home?" The boy asked, smirking flirtatiously

I kept a cold tone

"No thanks, I'm just waiting for someone. I appreciate the offer anyway."

The boy was obviously persistent because my answer did not change his approach

"Aww c'mon, you can just tell whoever you're waiting for you found someone new to roll with. I promise I'll get you home safe, maybe we can even take a little detour on the way" he whispered, inching closer to my face while putting his hand on my hip

I jolted away from him instantly, now furious

"Look, you better get out of here or my boyfriend will come out here and kick your ass!" I shouted, my words like venom

The two boys looked at me and laughed

"Oh yeah? Some boyfriend he is if he has the balls to leave you out here all alone. Cmon we can take care of you cutie just come hang out with us for a while" he once again tried to make a move on me, grabbing my waist, but I slapped his hands away once more and stepped back

I could tell he was getting impatient

"Look, I'm not askin anymore you're comin with us" his tone grew firmer and he was about to lunge at me

That is before I spotted out of the corner of my eye a fist fly to meet the side of his cheek.

Another fist met the chin of his buddy and when they snapped out of their dazed state the two boys instantly ran off with their tales between their legs

As I stood against a light post with my hands covering my eyes, I felt a familiar presence, and a familiar touch on my wrists.

"Wen are you okay?! I'm so sorry if I knew this would've happened I wouldn't have stayed back to chat or at least I wouldn't have left you out here. I'm so sorry Wen." I could hear the guilt In Romeo's voice, and to be honest it was kind of cute. But it broke my heart to see him beat himself up over this

"Romeo it's not your fault. And besides even when I did need you the most, you came. Like you always do. And I love you for that." I smiled, reassuring my boyfriend

He smiled back and pulled me in for a deep kiss

He then pulled away and grabbed my hand

"Well, lets get you home my love"

I nodded and we began heading back
