"What?" Vijay asked me with his eyebrows raised in curiousness.

I gave the pregnancy kit in his hands. "What is this double line means?"

"I am pregnant," I said looking down.

Hearing that, Vijay had a small smile, better than what I expected.

I am so happy but I couldn't express it at all. it's sudden and how things ended previously made me sorrowfully anxious for this child.

"Really?" "Can we trust this?" he asked looking at the stick.

"Yes," I nodded and sat on the bed.

"Are you not happy?" he asked me.

"What about you?"

"I couldn't explain, but I am not like last time."

"Oh,"

"What happened?" he sat next to me seeing my wavering face.
"I am happy," I smiled. "Now I feel peaceful because we got a chance to rectify our mistake," I added.

He nodded and his face sulked for reminding that. He took my hand and looked in my eyes.

"Forgive me, even if that is hard to do," he said noticing the indifference on my face. He understood that I am still not coming out of the traumatic year of our marriage.

I couldn't answer him or meet his eyes because I still don't know whether I forgave him. I decided to stay because I want him but still, something is bugging me. I don't know why it is so tough to live this life. We always desire something and when we get it, we couldn't feel the contentment for having it. Right now, I feel this way and I wish this all should change soon.

"I am going to pray," I said to end this conversation and got up. Since it's Friday, 5.pm and I have never missed my prayers.

I came to the Pooja room to lit the oil lamp. Even after all this happened in my life, I believe in God and he showed me the right path in all my difficult times and I thanked him for this beautiful gift that came to me to rectify the mistakes which I once did.

After spending some time in the silence I came out somewhat relaxed. I saw Vijay sitting at the entrance of the house. He has placed a cup of coffee for me in the table and taking that I went to him.

"What you're thinking?" I asked since he looked so deep in his thoughts.

"Aarthi," he put his arm around my shoulders, "Is this child going to be a boy or girl?"

"I don't know, but is that necessary to care about that?"

"No, it's not. I am just anxious. Will I be a good father?"

"Yes, of course, you will be great father,"
"You trust that?" he sounded sad.
"You have to be happy right now. I feel that our life will entirely change once we welcome our child."

I said and he kind of agreed, hugging me.

"You know; yesterday when I was in the hotel, I couldn't stop thinking about you. I felt you're so near to me and the fear that I am going to lose you doesn't let me sit there. But yet I can't come here because I have no courage to ask you to stay. I lost my mind for such a long time," Vijay regretted.

Though I wanted to say that I was near him, I kept that in my heart because that's the best for us. He was never so open to anyone, but now he says everything that's running in his head to me and I don't want another trust issue to give any rift between us. I know how hard to get his trust and for any reason, I don't want to alter anything.

"Forget it, and I am here for you," I kissed his cheeks and caressed his shoulders.

After being in my embrace for some time, he said, "I will cook today," he pulled from the hug and walked inside.

After having the coffee, I went to plug all the bloomed roses. The red roses are more in number and placing one in my neatly braided hair I walked into the house closing the door behind.

I sat down on the couch after placing the flowers inside the refrigerator. Vijay is cooking a paneer gravy for dosa. I watched him like looking at the television.

Whatever this man is, I am crazy for him. No one care for me as much as he does and whatever he does I can't stop loving him. My life has some essence only when I am with him. He has changed so much for me, just for me. Is he in love with me? He must be but he doesn't realize it yet, I thought and smiled. If love is done not only with words then I think, he loves me so much. We love each other so much.

He never said that he loves me but he has shown that a lot of time. He's hard as steel to deal with but in the right hands, he can be a wonderful thing.

When I was watching him, he suddenly turned his eyes to me. I smiled and he asked me to get water to the dining table. I placed the deliciously smelling gravy and he came with the Dosa. He's the best cook compared to me and in all aspects he's perfect. If only those ordeals didn't happen in his life, then like his grandpa said he would be in a better place than what he has now.

We watched a movie while having dinner and continued until it's ending. Vijay followed me to the bedroom and once we are inside, I turned to him and drew him for a kiss. I think I can't stop my heart which craves for this strange love.

Understanding what I need, Vijay starts to kiss me back and conquered me with his deep passion. We made love until the rest of my life turns pointless at that moment. It's just me and him. Such kind of love never happened between us, I don't know if he feels the same way as I do but my feelings for him is greater than the greatest.

We kissed sensuously at the end of our orgasm and more than this passion there's something much more I felt in his warmth which I don't have perfect words to put into.

Placing his hands on my stomach, he said, "I wish it should be a girl, just like you,"

I smiled and turned to him. His sharp eyes were calm, I touched his sharp nose and cupped his cheek. "But I want a boy."
"Okay, then we will have a boy after that," he made me blush. I moved closer to his lips and kissed all over his face. He never talked romantic but now his eyes speak verses of love which I have never seen before. Love is all needed for a man to change from bad to good or good to bad. It can either put you in the rock bottom or take you high like you have everything. I am pleased that it has happened in the other way for us.

Suddenly there I thought, why my parents have left me. Even Vijay can accept someone in his life and feel some happy to have a child then why my parents left me. What happened to them so that they decided to abandon me.

"Why you become silent, all of sudden?" Vijay asked.

"You know; I am wondering who are my parents? Is there any chance that they will be alive?" I asked Vijay.

"Of course they will. You are just twenty-five. They will be alive," he said and got to put his underwear.

"Oh," hearing that I felt sad.

"You don't have to think about them," he said sitting next to me

"But I wonder why they left me? What happened to them," I said looking down.

"So you want to see them?" he caressed my cheeks, urging me to tell what I feel for his question.

"Yes, but where I can find them?" I hesitantly said.

After a long moment of silence, he said, "If you want then I will search your parents," he staggered me. Maybe he might have understood my wish.

"What... really?"

"Yes, I am curious too. Why they left a wonderful daughter like you. You're beautiful, smart, and just looking at you makes me happy so how could they do this to you," he said and my eyes welled in tears.

"Do you think I am beautiful?" I smiled to mask my sadness.
"Yes, you're the most beautiful woman I have ever know," he kissed me.

"So tell me, do you want to find them?"

"Yes," I nodded. I don't know where this will end but I want to know who they are!
