Abby's Apology

Valentina's P.O.V

"Ellie!" I run to her.

She sobs and holds her hand. She looks at Abby. I wrap my arm around her, comforting her. I hear splashes not too far from us. I look up, it's Abby.

"What do you want?" I say.
"I get why Joel did the things he did to save you." She looks at Ellie.
"What?" Ellie looks at her.
"I crossed my own people for Lev." Abby kneels down.
"What about that time you left me?" I ask.
"Valentina.. My father died. I had to get revenge." Abby looked at me.
"We were best friends. I woke up and looked for you. I didn't see you anywhere." I grit my teeth.
"I didn't want to bring you into it." She said.
"And you did to the other people?" I ask.

She stayed quiet.

"Go.." Ellie whispered.
"I am sorry for what I did to him.. I thought it was stupid for what he did to you. But then I had Lev by my side. And now I understand." Abby got up.
"And Jesse?" I ask.
"I don't know him.. Get where I'm coming from." She said.
"No.. You get in my shoes." I say.
"Okay.. Good luck. Both of you." She turned around and got on her boat.

Ellie looked at her go. We both sat there in silence and hurt. I didn't do anything in their fight, because I wasn't sure if I forgave Abby or not.
