Damian was fighting slade, he won, but he got deadly injuries. Slade, on the other hand, left, yes he ran away. But Damian, was...

But Damian was born a fighter, he will survive... "I will survive" he said tears streaming down his cheeks. "I know I will"

How did Damian end up fighting slade? Well he was sleeping peacefully, until slade attacked him, Damian, with his assassin instincts, attacked back immediately as he woke up. But slade didn't want to wake up the other titans, so he made Damian run after him to an unknown alleyway, where they fought.

And Damian ended up with three broken ribs, a simple concussion, scars, a lot of deadly, dip cuts covered with blood, bruises and his mask was, well destroyed, so anyone who would see him would recognise him.

He was sitting in the alleyway

What am I going to do? I can't die, my com is broken there is no way I can communicate the others. But there must be a way!

Damian was lost, physically and mentally. He wasn't prepared for this. He was still young. He wanted to live.
If he didn't survive then,
Who will grayson hug?
Who will drake argue with?
Who will todd make fun of?
Who will cain spar with?
Who will brown take to the park?
Who will gordon work with?
Who will be the dark, calm one in the team?
Who will father comfort and train?

That's why I am going to fight death! For them!

As Damian thought about this, he stood ignoring the pain, he stood, walking...
Walking to nowhere.
His body was aching in pain.
But he didn't care.

I walked, walked... and blood was covering me... killing me.

The alleyway had no one in it I was alone. I was tired... I need to sleep
No! I can't, I have to resist... because if I close my eyes... I may not open them again.

Everything turned black...

But it wasn't the end, because his family will never live them nor will his friends.
Damian was part of their heart. And when he is in danger, they know it.

Batman aka bruce, found his son, covered in blood. His heart was broken, his son was on the verge of death. But he will not lose him!

Bruce held his son bridal style, taking him to the batcave. Where everyone was. Including the team.

Flashback - when Damian left the tower
Raven felt everything, the attac, slade and damian leaving the tower. She told them others, and they informed the batfamily.

Everyone started searching. Until Bruce found him. Using his father instincts of course.
End of Flashback

He was on the verge of death, but somehow he survived.

Everyone was discussing what happened.
Until they heard him wake up.

I opened my eyes, black and white is all I see, am I dead? Is it the end. Wait no! I hear voices. Someone is calling my name.
It's... it's... father!
I open my eyes, he is sitting next to me on a chair.
I smile. Because I am still with my loved ones.
