<Gage Grant POV>

"Gege!" Gregory yelled as I ran the track and he waved frantically with Xavier by his side, shaking his head in embarrassment.

Smiling softly I waved and kept running the track, "Hey." Someone else said coming to my side.

Chase was at my side and sweating profusely, "Why are you so sweaty? We just have to walk or run 5 laps..." I said looking him up and down.

"I wanted to get them all done, what lap are you on?" He asked

"2." I said showing him how stupid what he just said sounded.

"Lame." He said rolling his eyes.

"Not 'lame', smart." I moked.

He smiled a bit, but it slowly slipped off, "What do you think happened to Lily?" He asked slowly down his pace.

Now I went quiet, "I don't know Chase. I'm sure she's ok, we'll find her." I reassured him, but the words started to burn my throat like I was about to cry.

"How? There's no footage of her on any camera! What if she's being sold? Or-" I stopped him, not wanting to hear any more.

"Chase! Stop...just stop. I know you're worried, but someone will find her..." I tried to reassure him again.

"What if they don't though? Some kids never get found." He whispered quietly.

"Someone will, I promise." I said lightly patting his back.

We didn't talk about it any more. Just left the topic behind us. Still I felt the subject hovering around me.

In the locker room I still felt the topic around me, like it was waiting for me to come clean. Looking around I saw Chase looking at me but quickly turned around.

Closing my locker I went on with my day, while in class I got a message and quietly checked it under the desk.

It was a message from Xavier, 'Do you wanna try to go on a date?' He messaged making me smile a bit.

Slowly putting my phone back without answering I thought about it for a second. Yes it would be nice, but what about Patton.

He seems to be more aware right now, anything I want to tell him, he already knows. So he would know about this too, maybe...

"Gage?" Someone said making me look up.

Christian was looking at me weirdly, "You ok?" He asked

"Yeah, sorry. What are we doing?" I asked looking down at our paper.

"We have to do a project. Make an amusement park, themed optional. What do you think?" He asked looking up at me.

"Uh...how about Spongebob?" I suggested not really caring.

"I actually kinda like it. Or was that a joke?" He asked, laughing a bit.

"We could do it, unless you have any other ideas?" I asked.

For a second he thought about it, "Nothing that I can think of. If we want to change it later we can...It's due in 3 weeks." He said looking back at our instructions.

"Really? Wow." I said kinda surprised, 3 weeks was actually a long time for a simple project, "Wait, what do we have to do? Just a presentation, or an actual structure?" I asked, confused.

"We have to draw it out. A few rides, some places to eat, along with bathrooms and other bare necessities." He said happily.

Suddenly an idea came into my head, "Hey, Christian?" I asked.
