<Gage Grant POV>

"So you're really not going to college?" I asked Christian asked again.

"Not this year, maybe next year." He said, shaking his head.

"That doesn't make sense though, you have money. So?" I said looking at him.

"Well, I should save up some more money for other things beside college. Maybe like, food?" He suggested sarcastically.

"Fine, just saying, it's better to get it over with now then later." I said shrugging.

"Lots of people skip a year." He said laughing at me.

"Lame." I said crossing my arms.

"You're lame." He said lightly shoving me with his arm.

"Well then you're dating a lame guy then." I said playfully teasing.

Christian looked at me and huffed, "Yes I am." He said, pulling me into a hug, "Are you ok? You know, with Patton right now?" He asked

"He's up to something still, but I can't tell yet." I told him resting my head on his chest and playing with his hoodie strings.

"Alright..." He said, softly kissing my hair, "Where is he right now?" Christan asked, slightly confused.

"Something to do I guess, he said it was important and that he would be back around 3." I explained not thinking about it much.

"Just because I'm not in school anymore doesn't mean that I'm going anywhere either, alright?" He said holding me tighter.

"Christian I've been living with Patton since I was 9, nothing yet, I'll be fine for a bit." I said trying to calm him down.

"Gage, this is a serial killer. You don't know who's going to go next." He said smoothing down my hair.

"He's not a serial killer, he's just...different." I said defending Patton a bit.

"No Gage, I know you want to think of him as a good person, but...he's not. He's really not Gage, he's insane and psychotic." He ranted to me.

"I know Chistian!" I shouted and grabbed onto his hoodie tightly, "I know dammit! But...I just can't..." I said, words fading out.

Lightly he held me tightly, "I'm sorry, ok? I'm sorry, I just don't want you near him." Christian said.

"I'm sorry too. It'll be fine, I'll get past this school year and go to college to try to get away from him." I planned.

"Why can't we turn him in Gage?" He asked quietly.

"Gregory tried to do the same and he got an axe to the back." I said bluntly.

...

"Patton, where's the notebooks?" I asked, looking around my room.

I had left Christian's place hours ago and was getting my bag ready for senior year. Sadly, I can't find where I place any of my notebooks.

"Here Gage." He said holding out 5 different colored notebooks for me to take and put in my bag.

"Thank you." I whispered, shoving the notebooks in my bag and zipping it close.

"Are you going to bed now?" Patton asked

"Yeah, if you're staying up just be quiet." I said turning off the light.

Patton sat next to me while I laid down on my bed, "I've produced an heir." He suddenly said and I sat up in my bed quickly.

"What?" I asked, staring at him.
