It's okay to be saved once in a while too
Peter was back in New York after his disastrous summer vacation. He and Percy were in the giant plaza place with all the big Jumbotron thingies. Times Square?
Peter had picked up Percy as Spider-Man.
Percy wasn't expecting that, he didn't like heights or the sky. He ducked his head into Spidey's collar and squeezed his eyes shut. They went swinging through the city.
Percy cling on, then let go when they landed. Peter dropped him off, then looked at the Jumbotron to see a huge broadcast by J. Jonah Jameson.
Mysterio was exposing him, and even in death painted himself as a hero.
"Spider-Man's real name- Spider-Man's real name is Peter Parker!"
Percy and Peter's world collapsed. Percy raced home, packing everything. Peter took the long way home to avoid people showing up at his house.
"I can protect you Peter," Percy swore, "But we have to go now."
The two boys loaded into a beat up blue Prius and fled.
