SOPHIE'S POV

" Stay strong!" I inhaled. The babies were ready, they were pushing, eager to get out.

" It's okay, little ones," I soothed.

I then grunted.

" Push, push!" I chanted to myself.

Very slowly, I knew. It was going to be okay. It HAD to.

" ARHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed.

And then it happened.

A single wail.

" Wahhhh!"

Then silence. I didn't dare breathe.

" Wah." It more quiet, very faint.

" Wa." Even fainter this time. I leaned forward and the sight of my babies made me gasp.

One was bright and cheery. I could see that already.

The other one.......it seemed.....

I shuddered, and picked it up tenderly.

It was hardly breathing. I put a single finger by it's heart. The beat was faint, but still there.

" I breathe life into you, little baby." It was stupid but obviously something was wrong with it.

The baby didn't move.

" No." My own word got stuck in my throat.

" Please please please no."

" No." The single word became a plea.

" No. No!!!!" My voice became a wail.

" Please don't die." I whispered to my baby.

The other baby was rolling around slightly in the little nook my legs had made. I placed a hand on it so it wouldn't roll off the bed.

" Don't die."
