"Alright Kid, have a good time yeah? Look after my boy for me? Cause some trouble on my behalf okay?" James questions grinning to me

"I will Uncle James," I assure him as he pulls me into a tight hug before turning to Harry

"Now you better promise me you'll write," Lily demands

"I promise,"

"I want updates on this boy,"

"For sure,"

"Okay, I love you," she grins holding me tight

"I love you too," I smile back giving her a tight squeeze before turning to my dad.

"C'mere," he directs opening his arm as I fall into them letting him hold me close to him

"Now you better write every week. Don't take any shit from this Cedric kid. Give Minnie a hug from me. Work hard. Enjoy yourself," he whispers into my hair. My bond with my dad was closer than most. At the end of the day we always had each other. He was it for me and he knew that and loved me enough for the mum I never had.

"I will. Look after yourself alright?"

"Course I will baby," he assures me kissing the top of my head. I pull away "I love you," he smiles

"Love you too dad,"

"I'm proud of you,"

"Thankyou," I smile. He grins back giving me my trunk and owl before wrapping me in one last hug. I climb onto the train and meet up with the twins in a carriage waving to my family as the train barrels away.

"Emmie!" A voice squeals and the door is flung open

"Hey Katie!" I grin jumping up to hug her. Eventually Alice and Angelina join us and within 10 minutes Lee comes in. It feels nice to be together again. Discussing my plans for the quidditch team and our pranks.

We've been on the train for twenty minutes or so when the trolley comes round.

"Anybody want anything?" I question standing up to go get a pumpkin pasty

"Cauldron cake," Angelina calls

"Bertie Botts every flavour beans," George adds

"Chocolate frog for me please," Lee requests.

I head out paying for our things before a familiar figure appears a few carriages down to order. I step out into the corridor as he pays before the trolley is pushed past and we meet in the middle.

"Hey, feeling hungry I see," he smiles indicating to the stack of food in my hands

"It's for four of us. Not that you should be judging my eating habits," I tease back

"No judgement," he assures me holding his hands up in mock defence whilst clutching a chocolate frog.

"How are you?" I question

"Yeah I'm alright. Are you?"

"I'm good thanks,"

"I hate to say it but I can't meet tonight," he sighs clearly disappointed.

"That's okay. I need to unpack. Sort quidditch try outs. Go and see Minnie,"

"Okay. Tomorrow?"
