jungkook reads the fake text messages from jin. "well that helps a little but what's going on with the yeontan person?"
"i don't know. let me see your contacts on the chat."
jungkook gives his phone to his friend.
seokjin taps on yeontan's phone number and takes a screenshot. then he sends it to himself. "namjoon isn't here but i added him. see?"
jin holds his own phone out for jungkook to see.
everyone is there.
everyone except for taehyung.
"why isn't tae there for you?"
jin shrugs his shoulders and looks at taehyung's phone number on jungkook's phone. then, with a face of deep thinking, he looks at namjoon's number on his own phone.
his focused face turns into that of a confused one.
"kook, are you sure you're texting taehyung?"
"yeah. why?"
jin shows him what he found out.
"what the hell. why did tae give me namjoon's number?"
"i don't know, kook." jin thinks for a while longer. "i think we should talk about this with jimin later. come to our dorm after school."
"ok."

the last period ends and jungkook makes his way to his friends' dorm.
when he gets there, he goes in without knocking. seeing his friends waiting for him in the living room.
"finally. jungkook show jimin yeontan's number." says seokjin.
jungkook gets yeontan's number up and shows it to jimin, who looks at it, and then at his phone. and then back to jungkook's just to make sure.
"that's taehyung." says jimin.
"what?" jungkook says in disbelief. "it can't be."
"jungkook-"
jin doesn't get to finish his sentence. jungkook is already running out the door and to his own dorm. where taehyung is waiting for him.
he bursts through the front door, his mind being a mess of confusion, disbelief, and heartbreak.
all these emotions tangled together huddle tighter in his head when he sees the cause of all this, coming out of his room with a bag of chips in his hands.
