It's been almost a month since dad's birthday, mag-iisang buwan na rin ang nakakalipas simula noong ipinahiwatig niyang i-aasign niya ako sa pagpapagawa ng bahay ni Lex pero hanggang ngayon ay hindi niya pa ulit binabanggit 'yon.

The situation's favorable for me because I have other things to prioritize. I've been working non-stop for the past three weeks, maraming kailangang i-approve, i-review, sites to visit and clients to impress. But from time to time the thought of him being my client bothers me, that would be awkward. It would be super hard for me to move when he's around.

"Ela." I called using the intercom.

"Do you think I can have an appointment with Dr. Peralta today?" tanong ko. My migraines aren't getting any better, I've been stressing and overworking myself because I'm still learning about the roundabouts of this position. I think it got worse because my painkillers barely worked.

"I'll check his schedule right away, Engr." she said then smiled.

"Thanks." I nodded and went back to work.

"He's only available at the nearest hospital during Tuesday and Thursday lang po, Engr." she informed.

"Sige, just schedule an appointment with him tomorrow. If possible, before lunch sana yung time." utos ko naman.

After lunch, I went to a site to inspect the construction site, I took my stilettos off and wore my doc martens instead so it will be easier for me to walk in the field. I was wearing a white long sleeve button down shirt and my denim jeans so it looks okay either way.

That could endanger their lives, the company and I personally care for them knowing that they all have families to go home to.

I worked overtime so that I'll be able to finish my work and just do site visits tomorrow afternoon. May check-up pa rin kasi ako sa umaga kaya lalo kong gustong matapos ang mga 'to sa madaling panahon.

"Hello? Ela? I know this is not your office hours anymore but can you send me Mr. Chua's file tonight?" pakiusap ko nang tumawag ako kay Ela dahil hindi ko makita ang kopya ko sa laptop.
