Chapter 25

"Hey." I heard someone spoke behind me. I already know who it is.

"Hii!!" I faced him then enthusiastically greeted him.

"Happy Birthday." bati ni Lex at iniabot sa akin ang mga bulaklak na hawak niya. Tinanggap ko naman 'yon at nagpasalamat.

"Thank you for these." I thanked him as I look at the bouquet of tulips I've received.

"Sorry I was late for the surprise." he apologetically smiled while holding his nape.

"Okay lang 'yon ano ka ba!" sabi ko naman at ngumiti.

"Did you eat already? Come eat!" yakag ko.

"Did you eat already? Come eat!" Navi whispered, mocking me. Saka ko lang naalala na naroon nga pala ang mga kaibigan ko sa likod. Inirapan ko naman si Navi at naglakad na papunta sa dining area.

"Sooo..." panimula ko nang makakuha siya ng pagkain at makaupo na kami.

"Long time no see." he said then glanced at me, smirking.

"I-it's you know... work." dahilan ko naman.

"I've been busy too." balik niya.

"Sorry I had to decline a few of your invites." I apologized then smiled shyly.

"A few?" he whispered but I still heard him.

"Sorry..." ulit ko naman.

"Sorry I had to leave immediately last time. I wouldn't if it's not an emergency." he apologized.

"N-no problem. I understand." I replied.

"Aren't you going to eat?" pansin niya at itinaas ang kutsara, inaalok akong kumain.

"I was just about to... wait ah." I smiled then stood up to get my food. There are a lot of food! I still can't believe they planned all these, thinking about it makes me tear up a little.

"How have you been?" tanong niya nang makabalik ako sa lamesa.

Nag-isip pa ako dahil hindi ako sigurado kung anong isasagot, "Pretty great... and tired, of course." I truthfully answered.

"How about you?" tanong ko naman pabalik.

He was about to answer but Navi came running and yelled, "Calli si Gab oh uuwi na agad!", parang bata niyang pagsusumbong.

"Wait ha, continue eating." paalam ko naman at tumayo para puntahan sila Navi.
