Chaewol looked at the man standing in front of her. He was tall, young, dressed in something that looked like blue pajamas. She found his choice of outfit odd. It was in the middle of the day: why was an adult dressed like he was going to sleep? All the people here were all dressed fancily, something to do about the building being an office. His bangs fell over his face and the rest of his hair was tied back in a small bun.
" You have a very beautiful voice Luna. I've never heard a kid sing like that. It's like you were born to be a singer." he complimented her
" Thank you" she replied, still unsure about what to say. She was usually wary of strangers but this man looked kind.
" Shouldn't you be at school at this hour? Are you a trainee here at Big Hit? I didn't know they accepted such young kids. How old are you?"
" I'm not a trainee. I'll be 7 in few days" she showed him the number with her fingers.
He looked away so quickly, as if something was bothering him and remained silent. Chaewol was afraid she said something wrong and shrank back in the corner of the room. Jungkook seemed to have noticed, he quickly apologized and smiled at her.
" I'm sorry, I thought about something for a moment, mostly about a little girl that will also be 7 in a few days. So you were telling me you're not a Big Hit trainee. Are your parents working here or did people just let you use one of the practice room?"
She told him she came this morning with Dr Kim Chang Wan and Jian's grandmother will pick her up at 4pm. She was surprised to hear he knew the doctor.
She started coming here two weeks ago to attend the singing lessons. She learned a lot and attended all the classes everyday and even practiced at home. The teachers often complimented her but some of the trainees (she was in the class full of 13 and 14 years old) were mean towards her and mocked her young age. Thankfully she found new friends, like Sunoo and Jungwon, who were kind and treated her like a little sister. They even helped her memorize the first verse of Knees.
" I was picked by the teacher to sing at the award ceremony on New Year's eve. He had to choose 4 kids and I was one of them. He told me to sing Knees but I can't remember the lyrics. Jian helps me at night but she's often busy with her homework. Halmeoni can't talk and can't hear, which means I have to learn alone." She pouted
" Wow that's impressive, congratulations! I will perform at the same show too. It's called Melon Music Award. It's funny because you speak with a little Busan satoori. It's cute! I'm from Busan too. I can help you if you want. I know the song very well and I'm a singer. " He smiled and crouched down on her level
" Really? You're a singer too? That's cool! Aren't you busy? People here are always busy. " she pointed out
" I think I can make a little time for you. In which part of song are you stuck?" He asked and sat down next to her.
