Marvel Party Pt 2

Well, here we go

You were sitting in the car that was taking you to Robert Downey Jr.'s house.

Yes.

That's right.

It sounded just as crazy in your head.

Tom was sitting next to you, your hand in his. He was calmingly drawing small circles on the back of your hand with his thumb, humming along to the song that was playing.

"Are you ready to see the movie?", you asked.

He turns his head, looking like you completely interrupted his thoughts. Then he smiled.

"Yeah, yes I am, I guess."

You were not entirely sure if he was telling the truth. But you knew if he wasn't he was trying to seem as confident as he could for you, so you wouldn't get nervous again. But since the second you left the house you felt more excited about the night. Not as much nervous anymore.

So now you took his hand in yours and squeezed it a little. "Remember your own advice Tom. You are incredible and I bet all those people are very happy to spend this special night with you."

First, he looks at you smiling, then he can't help but chuckle.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Funny how we're both always there for each other, wanting the other to realize there's no need to be anxious but can't bring ourselves to realize the same thing."

You smile and lean over to plant a kiss on his cheek.

"That's why we make the perfect couple."

Toms eyes linger on your face so close to him and for a second he wanted nothing else but to turn around and cuddle up in bed with you, watching Endgame with you and only you by his side.

But then the car stops, his heart starts beating a little faster and he remembers how much he loves social events like this. It's only the watching the movie part and everyone seeing and judging his performance whilst he sits right next to them that scares him a little. But he shrugs it off, gets out of the car and takes your hand as you walk over to the front door, both trying not to feel incredibly intimidated by the mansion that was RDJ's.

The second you rang the doorbell, RDJ himself opened the door for you. You were literally star struck. You really thought you were used to seeing people like him up close by now, at the end of the day you had been to a couple movie premiers with Tom. But being invited into his home, hugging him and introducing yourself was a whole other level.

"So you're Toms girlfriend, very nice to meet you, he has been talking a lot about you on set", RDJ said as he let go of you.

"Yes I am, Sir", you smile shily and he pats your shoulder.

"Call me Robert, please", he says, before he hugs Tom and pats him on the shoulder. "I'm glad you could make it buddy", he said before inviting you in.

When you walked in the main area of his home the place was already packed. Robert called his wife over and introduced the two of you to her. Tom was immediately called over by a couple of the actors but before you could follow him, Roberts wife put an arm around your shoulder.

"This can get a little too much sometimes, you wanna come to the kitchen with me first and grab something to drink?"

Your eyes followed Tom who was greeting Sebastian and Anthony and nodded relieved.

"Yeah, that sounds great."

You follow her to the kitchen were you meet Scarlet and Chris Pratt, who recognizes you immediately.

"Hey, you're y/n, Toms girlfriend right?"

You nod and he shakes your hand, introducing you to Scarlet, who gives you a hug. The three of you engulfed in a conversation, every now and then a couple others joying you, saying they're hellos and introducing themselves to you. Eventually Robert calls everyone into the living room, where a lot of seats were put up so everyone could sit down whilst you all watched endgame.

"Please everyone, get some food from the buffet and sit down, so we can enjoy our movie together", he calls out. You search for Tom in the room and eventually you catch sight of him. He's looking around too and when he sees you his eyes light up.

"Hey, where have you been?", he asks smiling. You explain it to him whilst the two of you walk over to the buffet.

The second you take a plate into your hands you freeze.

"Holy shit!"

"What is it?", Tom asks and follows your gaze. Then he can't help but laugh. He knows exactly what's caused your reaction.

Chris Evans had just entered the room, a man you recognized as his brother by his side.

Robert was walking over to him and you overheard Chris greeting him. "So sorry we couldn't make it earlier-", was all you could hear before you quickly turned around again.

"You're blushing", Tom laughed.

"Stop making fun of me", you say, as you fill your plate with all the nice foods.

Tom and you sit down next to Sebastian. Of course, not without you being introduced once again. You shake Sebastians hand smiling.

"Gotta admit, I really loved you in gossip girl", you say as you sit down and he laughs. "I think I've never met someone at these kinda events who's referred to my gossip girl times", he says. You point your fork at him. "There's a first for everything, right?"

Tom watches the two of you bantering, happiness washing all over him as you're getting more comfortable in the surroundings with every second.

Then, out of the sudden, he sees your mood shift, you suddenly sit up straight and your focus lands on your plate, without you eating any more of it.

"What is it?", Tom asks you but gets interrupted by Chris.

"Hey man", he greets Sebastian who gets up to hug him. Tom rolls his eyes in amusement. He knows that Captain America is your favorite Marvel character and he's aware of the huge crush you had on Chris before you met Tom. So he nudges your side, making you look up as Chris lets go of Sebastian and walks over to the two of you.

"Hey Chris!" Tom gets up and shakes his hand. "This is my girlfriend Y/n", he says as he motions to you.

Chris's eyes land on you and you put your plate down on the empty seat next to you and get up too.

"Hi", you say, your voice shaking too much to say anything else. Chris shakes your hand and smiles at you.

"Hey, Y/n, I'm Chris", he tells you. His hand is warm and soft and so much bigger than yours. You stand there for a second, not really knowing what to do next, when Chris nods at the seat next to you.

"Do you mind if I sit down there?"

You shake your head and quickly take your plate so Chris could sit. Only seconds later his brother comes over and hands him a filled plate before he sits down next to him. And then Robert gets everyone's attention. You were relieved, you really had no idea how you were supposed to have small talk with Captain America.

Whilst RDJ was telling everyone how proud he was of the film and the family all of them had become. You weren't really paying much attention, you were looking over at Tom and couldn't help but smile. Your heart was filled with pride for this boy. He was working so hard and putting his all in everything, he really deserved the world. Finally, the lights were dimmed and the movie started playing. But throughout the whole movie you couldn't help but feel the presence of Chris Evans right next to you.
