Firstly, I can acknowledge that these two are fine being just friends.
Same goes for ships like Pertle, Sunnyflight, even Qinter. Even though I like those ships, I can still appreciate their friendship in cannon.
Now, secondly, I do see these two as friends. But, on the other hand, if I were to ship Moon with ANYONE, it would be Kinkajou.
People go on about Qibli helping Moonwatcher out of her shell.
Excuse me, but what shell? The shell was long gone after the 6th book ended. And if anyone helped Moonwatcher with her shyness, it was Kinkajou.
Again, I know they have a platonic relationship. Platonic relationships are just as great as romantic ones.
But, it's all up to interpretation.
You may not see them in a romantic sense, but others may do. Understandably, you would rant about this, but before you trash on the ones who like said ship, actually listen to the reasonswhy they ship it.
Sorry to be salty, but you cannot imagine how much hate I get for being a Sunnyflight or Pertle shipper. Granted, some Sunnyflight shippers would bite peoples heads off for not sharing their views, not all, but the few I came across.
OK, back to Kinkajou x Moonwatcher!
Pros: It's cute. In my opinion, Kinkajou is a better match for Moonwatcher than Qibli or Winter.
Cons: This ship is okay. Still, it is very unlikely that these two would engage in a romantic relationship, and I'm absolutely fine with that.
