Kristy's POV

The next few weeks passed by quickly. I stayed focused on my blog which seemed to have attracted a lot of followers already.
I added in some other authentic foods I had been able to try in my past few adventures from around the world.
Some being Mexican food I had tasted when I went to Puerto Vallarta during Spring Break my second year of college for Habitat for Humanity. I wrote about Alote, or Mexican street corn. Grilled corn on a stick and flavored with chili powder, cotija cheese, and lime juice.

And the other food being from Ireland when I was lucky enough to tag along with my parents when I was fifteen to a trip celebrating their thirtieth wedding anniversary

Of course, having to try the food talked about all over the world during St. Patrick's Day, corned beef straight from the Irish folk themselves, served on top of Colcannon, mashed potato, and kale.

Eros had been extremely busy the last few weeks at the restaurant

Eros had been extremely busy the last few weeks at the restaurant. He said we're coming into the peak of summer on the island when most people plan their summer vacations in August. Hotels reach their capacity, and beaches, bars, and restaurants all fill to the breaking point with revelers.

"I'm sorry I woke you, my love" Eros said trying to sneak out of bed before the sun was even in the sky.
"You're already leaving? What time did you get in last night?" I asked turning over, feeling the warmth from his body leave my side.
"It was another very late night. I hope I didn't wake you when I got in" he said sitting back down on the bed and kissing my forehead.
"Eros, you must be exhausted. Why all of a sudden is everyone out late partying?"
"Dormition of Theotokos" He says casually as he strokes the loose hairs to the side of my face and I look at him confused.
"Also known as Assumption Day. The day our Mother of God, the Virgin Mary fell asleep and ascended to Heaven"
"Oh, wow"
"There is a two-week fast that leads up to the day we celebrate on August 15th"
"Everyone fasts?" I question wanting to know more.
"Yes. It started on the 1st of August. We don't eat meat, fish, dairy, or cook with oil or wine except for Saturdays and Sundays, which explains my late nights on the weekends"
"Yes, that explains a lot actually" I say thinking of the nights Eros has cooked vegetarian meals such as grilled eggplant, lentil soups, and salads with homemade hummus and pita bread.
"So, next weekend I don't work. And every household will feast and celebrate"
"So I get you all to myself for an entire weekend?" I say pulling him down towards me and kissing his lips.
"Actually..." he hesitates before speaking again in fear of me being disappointed.
"This is a very big holiday for my family. My mother and The Virgin Mary share the same name day"
"Name day?" I question again.
"We celebrate our name day as like a birthday...so my whole family gathers at my father's house. My sister and her daughter will join us as well as my Aunt Nafsika, and I'd want nothing more than for you to be there with me as well" he pecks my face with kisses but I turn my head and let out a heavy sigh.
"Eros, your family doesn't like me!"
"That's nonsense, Kristy!"
"Ok then...your Aunt doesn't like me! And she's very vocal about it even though I can't understand her!" I nudge him off so I can sit upright in the bed.
"Kristy" he lets out a sigh but I speak again before he can.
"You told me yourself, Eros! She doesn't like me because I'm not Greek!"
"And I've talked to her since you came back with me, baby. She doesn't get to say things like that about you and she doesn't dictate my life" he grabs my hand and brings it to his lips for a kiss.
"I love You, Kristy. I choose to be with you! I don't care what she or anyone else has to say"
"I love you too"
"So, you'll come?" he asked with hopeful eyes.
"Yea...with a shield of armor over my chest" I pouted.
"My father loves you, Kristy mou. I'm sure he'll put Theía in her place before I can even open my mouth. He's as strong-willed as I am" he says lifting my body onto his lap to straddle him as he kisses my neck.
"Plus, I already know...there's nothing in this world that can keep me away from you" his whispers ricochet off my skin.
"Mmmm...so does that mean I can get you to stay here with me a little longer this morning?" I say in between moans as the sensation of needing him takes over my mind and body.
I let my hips drop fully onto his lap closing the gap between us as I rubbed my center over his crotch and bit his lower lip.
"Christós, yes! You can keep me here forever! I don't think anyone is as starving as I am right now" he says as he pants out heavy breaths, lifting my oversized shirt over my head, leaving me bare and naked to his eyes.
