Kristy's POV

I couldn't stop apologizing to Eros the entire month after my big explosion on Easter. I felt so incredibly bad and completely embarrassed, not only to Eros but his whole family too. And I know Eros has been trying and jumping over hoops for me as I've reassured him a million times, the plans for the wedding that have already been arranged are fine and that I was going to be happy on our wedding day, simply by marrying him. He spoke to the priest and probably begged him telling him my reasoning for why I wanted a videographer at the wedding, and the priest finally allowed it.

Poor Eros must feel like he's walking on eggshells around me because lately he's been very quiet and this morning I didn't even hear him leave for work.
"Hey Emms" I answer according to my current mood which has been down in the dumps since Easter.
"I know that voice! Get your ass off the couch!"
"I'm not on the couch!" I answered back with sass but she knew me all too well because that's exactly where I was laying.
"BULLSHIT!" She shouted over the phone that somehow echoed throughout the room until I nearly had a heart attack hearing the condo door burst open.
"WHAT THE-!" I screamed bolting off the couch to find Emily standing in the family room!
"HAHAHA BEST CATCH EVER!"
"HOLY SHIT!"
"Oh yeah, SURPRISE!!! And watch that Holy mouth of yours baby Jesus!"
"OH MY GOD! You're really here! Wh-what are you doing here?" I couldn't even think straight or move my body to run over to her and hug her!
"Eros called me babe!"
"He did?" I asked already choking back tears at how amazing he is but also realizing she probably knows about my whole freak out and the maid of honor situation" I cowardly dragged my feet over to her and wrapped my body around hers letting out some tears that have still been bottled up.
"I'm sorry Emms. This whole wedding is a complete disaster!"
"Oh stop it! No it's not!"
"I want you up there with me Emms"
"I WILL BE! Don't sweat the small stuff ok! You're getting MARRIED! To a guy who loves the ever loving shit out of you!"
"I know! But-"
"But Nothing! Don't think about the wedding today, ok! We're going to pamper ourselves and you're going to get your head out of your ass!"
"Yes, ma'am!" I would've given her the military salute if I wasn't hiding in my head in her neck.
"Good! Now, lets go! We have reservations!" She said linking our arms together but I was shocked. Emms is a do things on a fly kinda girl and even though she's always well-maintained and put together, she goes by the swing of her pants and has never EVER made a reservation for anything before!
"Who are you and what have you done with the real Emily Brooke's?"
"Do you really need to question me after the hard ass lecture I just drilled into your skull?"
"No, you're right!"

We arrive at a fancy salon in the center market place of Chora and because of the reservations, they were expecting us. We are seated next to each other and to my surprise the two stylists spoke English.
"Hello girls. You must be Emily"
"That's me"
"And that means you're...Kristy"
"Yes"
"Perfect! What would you like for your hair today?"
"She wants the beach wave look!" Emily spoke up for me in a hurry before explaining what she wanted for her own hair.
"Soo, what else did Eros tell you?" I asked striking up conversation as the stylists got the work.
"Oh, you know, just that you finally grew a pair of steel balls and laid everyone in their place!" She started laughing but I threw my hands over my face in utter embarrassment.
"UGH!"
"I'm just kidding! Sorta!"
"It's not funny! I'm so mortified!"
"Babe, I've been telling you since forever! You need to speak up sometimes! Otherwise stuff like this is going to happen if you always keep it bottled up inside! One day you're just going to burst!"
"I know" I said cowardly again.
"But most importantly, you CAN'T please everyone! Eros and I both know you try to do that and it's just not possible. He more than anyone wants to make sure YOU are happy and that's all that matters to him!"
"Did he really say that?" I asked sounding all giddy as the blush and girly smile snuck through. She gave me peering eyes and raised eyebrows as if to say, Am I really asking that! Don't I know the answer already! Yes I did and a bigger smile crept through as she knows I just wanted to hear it again.
"So did you chew Theo's ass out yet?" I asked.
"What the fuck do you think?" I couldn't help but let out a chuckle at her non-subtleness.
"He deserved it!" I added.
"Yea he did! I'm pretty sure if I was face to face with him and not over the phone I'd see his dick retract into his body like a turtle!" I burst out laughing noticing the stylists nearly choke which causes her to laugh with me and we both speak in unison again.
"TURTLE HEAD!" We erupt in laughter until I feel the tears trickle down my cheek.
"God! I still can't believe you're getting married!" She blurted out getting comfortable in her seat.
"Not for another month!"
"But can you believe it! I mean being here feels like we're still on our trip!
"Which I have you to thank for by the way" I chimed in interrupting her thoughts and she looked over at me.
"I'm serious Emms," I took her hand in mine and squeezed it. "I probably wouldn't be sitting here today with a ring on my finger if it wasn't for you."
She made a sweet pouty face like she was holding back from crying.
"I love you!" I added with a smile making her pout even more.
"I love you too!"
"BFF's for life!"
"No if's, and's, or but's about it!" Our deep moment turns back to smiles and giggles.
"Has it even been a year since that trip?" She asked.
"I'm not sure actually. I think we went in June so yea..."
"Wow! You met Eros a year ago and you're getting married!"
"When you know, you know!" I said quoting my moms words.
"Yea" she replied starting to sound gloomy.
"Theo? Do you think he's-" I was too nervous to ask but I know talking about this brought him into her mind.
"No, I don't"
"Have you seen to him yet?"
"Not yet. But hey, I'm here for you! And no matter what happens with me and him, I'll be fine and I'll be here!"

We catch up in conversations about what's been going on back home. Emily's job and her so called cheating boss with his assistant that's been putting her work load on Emily has been stressful. I filled Emms in with the wedding plans, the flowers I selected, the bridesmaids dresses and the fiasco with the wedding dress, which I expected more of a reaction out of her but she just kept quiet and nodded her head listening until the stylists were done.
"That was really nice Emms, thanks for this" I said warmly.
"We're not done yet!" She chimed in.
"Wh-where not?"
"Nope! Let's go to the beach! I rented a cabana for the afternoon" She said cheerfully.
"The beach? After we just got our hair done...wouldn't that ruin it?" I asked confused and she kept avoiding eye contact.
"N-no! Not really...w-we can have lunch there!"
"Oo-ook...?" I answered skeptically.
"HEY! This is the one time I'm trying to plan something here so don't mess with my plans!" She pointed her nervous finger at me.
"Ok! The beach it is!" I threw my hands up in surrender and followed her lead out the salon and down the paved streets of Chora.
We arrive to the beach and once again, I'm shocked they are expecting us as they handed Emily a key. We turn the corner and she unlocks our assigned cabana and immediately rushes in and throws her bags on the couch.
"I-I'm going to change real quick. Here," She hands me a sealed envelope.
"What's this?" I questioned her as she was dashing to the bathroom.
"Just read it!" She said with a smile and closed the bathroom door.
I rip open the sealed white envelope and pull out a card that says,

To My Beautiful Bride On Our Wedding Day.

"What?" I couldn't help but look back up confused expecting to see Emily standing there but she was still in the bathroom

"What?" I couldn't help but look back up confused expecting to see Emily standing there but she was still in the bathroom. I looked back down at the card and opened it up to see Eros's writing and I began to read.

My dearest Kristy,

I am sitting here in the place that we share our lives together. The place that you have made a home for us, trying to express in words how much you mean to me. How much I love you. I look up and see the scrabble tiles you display that spell Love. Love is such a profound meaningful word and if I had to describe what our love means to me, this would be it.
L is for life. Because I can't imagine mine without you, Kristy. You have brought so much love and joy to my heart I will never feel whole without you by my side.
O is for obstacles because we've had our share and God will test our love every once in a while. It will only make us stronger for nothing is too fierce for us to overcome. Our love is like no other.
V is for virtue. I've never met a heart a kind as yours. Your goodness, your understanding, your respect for every human is of the upmost purity.
And E is finally for eternity. The force that drew us together has stayed strong. I have no doubt we are made for each other and our love will be lasting, for I will love you endlessly, long after my last breath escapes my body because my soul is kept inside you.
You said you don't want to wait any longer to spend forever together and with that I can't agree more. So let's not wait another month, another day, or another hour longer. Let today be a celebration for us and our love and let this be a day you've been dreaming of.
I'll be waiting for my soon to be beautiful bride on the beach.

With all my love,
Eros

I couldn't fathom what I was reading as tears had already began trickling down my cheeks at his words and I looked back up at the click of the bathroom door opening up.
"Th-that's-" I couldn't even speak I was so speechless seeing Emily standing there wearing the light blue bridesmaid dresses I had finally decided on. She said nothing but smiled at me lovingly as she reached back into the bathroom and pulled out a long dress bag.
"It's your turn now!" She said with the same smile across her lips.
"Wh-what?" was the only word I could formulate as my mind was racing and I was trying to comprehend what in the world was going on right now.
"Babe, you're getting married today!"
