" . . . et"

What's this?

A girl's voice?

" . . . Velvet!"

Huh? Was she calling me?

"Lady Velvet!"

Wha-

I opened my eyes in a hurry-it felt like I should.

My body throbbed in pain.

But more than that, there was a sense of something . . . weird going on.

I saw an unfamiliar gold-colored ceiling with angels carved on it brilliantly.

What was even more brilliant is that it looked like real gold.

But more than that . . .

Did I somehow survive?

Wait what the fvck, how am I alive?

Is this perhaps . . . a hospital?

But then I realized . . .

What kind of hospital had ceilings like this?

I lifted my upper body from this soft and warm bed, it was so comfortable I almost felt bad for getting up.

Then I saw this girl with short, lime-green hair around the age of 20 in front of me.

She was wearing a black dress with white laces.

She was beautiful.

But her uniform didn't look like a nurse's or a doctor's . . . but . . . a maid's?

Who even wear these kind of uniform these days?

I began furrowing my eyebrows.

" Who are you?" I blurted.

"Pardon?" she replied, puzzled expression forming on her pretty face.

Suddenly I felt a throb in my head.

An immense pain overwhelmed me.

I groaned. My head ached like hell, It felt like it was splitting into two.

I tried to massage my temples, hoping it would ease the pain. But I was wrong to assume that a simple action would bring me relief.

The sudden throbbing had me screaming in agony. I've never felt this much physical pain in my entire life.

The maid, looking extremely worried, rushed to my side. " Milady? Are you alright? Must I call a doctor?"

Why are you calling me that?

But it didn't matter, what I needed right now was help.

"No, Dellie . . . just bring me the pain killers, I'll be fine." I replied in the most polite way I could think of. She must've been taking care of me after all.

"Yes, milady." She nodded, her hand across her breasts.

The door creaked open and there went Dellie.

Wait

Hold up.

Dellie?

Did I just call her name?

Suddenly, the pain, even more than before, began overwhelming not just my head but also my entire body.

Unfamiliar memories started to fill my mind.

The fvck are these?

That girl was my personal maid named Dellie.
