Hikaru sat on the couch, listening silently to Naruto's rambling. He was talking about how he needed to know more 'cool' jutsu that would help him, in his own words, take down millions of enemy shinobi.

"So I can defeat my enemies in the blink of an eye, 'ttebayo! And then I'll become Hokage!" Naruto shouted. "And challenge Sasuke-teme to a spar-"

"Hn. Dobe, you'll lose." Sasuke glared at Naruto as if stating a fact.

"No, I won't!" Naruto huffed, crossing his arms.

Sasuke tilted his nose up and looked away from Naruto. "Hn. You'll always lose."

"Now, now, children." Kakashi, now the peacemaker after Hikaru's anger, eye-smiled. "I'll teach you a cool jutsu as long as you don't destroy Hikaru's apartment. I have a feeling he won't like that."

All three genin glanced at Hikaru's violet eyes, deadpanning at his answer.

"Go destroy a training ground or something." Hikaru sighed.

"We can't! It's raining outside!" Naruto protested before he stilled, then wilted. "We could spar in an empty apartment, but Gramps might get mad, dattebayo."

"Of course he'll get mad, dobe." Sasuke said dryly. Sakura perked up at this, glancing towards Naruto.

"Naruto, why do you call him 'gramps'? Isn't that disrespectful?" Sakura asks, a curious look on her face.

"That's because he lets me, Sakura-chan!" Naruto said before sticking his tounge out at Sasuke. "Take that, teme!"

"Hn." Sasuke scoffed, shoving his hands into his pockets and turning away from Naruto, very obviously stating that he doesn't care.

Hikaru sighed, glancing over at Kakashi. "You should run far, far away while you still can." He murmured quietly while the genin bickered.

"Sasuke-teme!-"

The jonin eye-smiled. "I like watching my cute little students bicker-"

"Shut up, Kakashi-sensei! You're not even doing anything, dattebayo!" Naruto yelled, before he lunged at Sasuke.

Hikaru felt a flash of hurt as Sasuke coldly ignored him, before anger. He would show Sasuke, he would show everybody that he could be the Hokage. He fired up his most powerful jutsu, anger seething underneath his skin-

Hikaru stood up in a flash, pulling the genin away from each other, Sasuke smirking.

He glared at his self-proclaimed rival, pushing chakra into his palm, rotating it exactly how Jiraiya had showed him. He ran forwards, something burning underneath his skin, something dangerous blanking out all of his thoughts and whispering encouragement to him.

He was intent on beating Sasuke, on winning, showing that stuck-up bastard exactly what he deserved.

In a few seconds, he was crashing into a tower, the Rasengan pushing against the metal with a sickening shriek that hurt his ears, his mind clearing. He was able to think again.

Hikaru shoved away the memory and let go of the genin. "Listen, you two need to stop arguing. One day it's going to end with one of you being seriously hurt."
