A few months had past since that talk in the astronomy tower, and Marlene and Aurora's relationship was stronger than ever. They were quite happy, and their friends didn't suspect that they were dating. In their friends eyes, they were just friends. It was also nearing February fourteen. Valentine's day.

Aurora was sitting on the couch in the Slytherin common room, with a book in her hand as usual. There wasn't much people in the common room either, so that was a plus for her since it was more quiet.

She continued reading her book, until she got interrupted by someone clearing their throat.

She looked up and saw Avery.
"Yes?" She asked, closing her book, but leaving a thumb where she was reading.

"So, Aurora Black, I've been fancying you for a while now. And I thought the most handsome man, me, and the most beautiful woman, should go to Hogsmeade together. A date." Avery said, smirking.

She almost snorted at his statement. Yes, Avery might have looked decent, but his personality was definitely not. He only played with girls and used them to get in their pants.

"Not interested." She simply stated, as she got up and left the common room.

Avery ran after her in the halls.

"What do you mean?" He asked as he reached her.

"I mean, I'm simply not interested in
going on a date with you." She said, as she kept walking. "Now, if you don't mind, I have to go to the library to study."

And with that, she left.

Now, was she going to the library?

No.

Instead she was going to the astronomy tower to meet Marlene, as they planned. She looked around and made sure no one was following her. And when the coast was clear, she continued walking.
When she reached the astronomy tower, Marlene was already there. Aurora hugged her from the back.

"Hey you." Marlene said, now facing her.
"Hey." Aurora replied.

"So, what's up? Anything interesting?"

"Not really, my day was hell though.
Black- well, Sirius, wouldn't stop bugging me about going to Hogsmeade with him." Marlene groaned.

"Well what did you say?" Aurora said sarcastically.

"What do you think I said?" She chuckled.
"Anyways, I told you about my day, now it's your turn so we can compare whose day was worse."

"I mean, my days are pretty boring. It's always just me reading. But, I had a similar encounter, with Avery." Aurora sighed.

"Something about how he was the most handsome man and I was the most beautiful woman, and how we should go on a date." She continued.

They both started laughing after that. If only the two boys knew.

Then, they met each other's gaze.

Marlene's warm, soft, chocolate-brown eyes. And Aurora's ethereal, luscious, grey eyes. And they kissed. But this time, it was gentle and passionate.

And once again, the scents of cherry and vanilla they carried, collided.

Little did they know, someone was watching them.
