"𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚌𝚘𝚛𝚛𝚎𝚌𝚝."
Gyda let out a sigh she didn't even know she was holding as the female registered what the murderer had said. She was correct, her friend's are safe, right? '𝐇𝐞'𝐬 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐟 𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐬, 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭?' she thought carefully, blinking at the tv that wasn't even turned on. The white-haired girl was broken from her train of thought by the exact same deep thought.
"𝙰𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚕𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐?" Snapping back into focus, Gyda let out a defeated sigh. "𝙽𝚘, 𝙸 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎𝚗'𝚝 𝚋𝚎𝚎𝚗 𝚕𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐. 𝙸 𝚐𝚘𝚝 𝚜𝚒𝚍𝚎 𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚌𝚔𝚎𝚍." The guy on the other side seemed to find this amusing as he chuckled, whether it was genuine or because of a devilish thought, Gyda didn't know. "𝙸 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚎𝚡𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚑𝚘𝚠 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚗𝚎𝚡𝚝 𝚏𝚎𝚠 𝚗𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚜 𝚠𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚐𝚘. 𝙸 𝚠𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚊𝚜𝚔 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚝𝚑𝚛𝚎𝚎 𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚒𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚐𝚎𝚝 𝚊𝚗𝚢 𝚘𝚏 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚖 𝚠𝚛𝚘𝚗𝚐, 𝙸 𝚖𝚞𝚛𝚍𝚎𝚛 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚘𝚗𝚎. 𝚂𝚘, 𝚝𝚎𝚌𝚑𝚗𝚒𝚌𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚢, 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚒𝚛 𝚕𝚒𝚟𝚎𝚜 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚒𝚗 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚜."
Gyda didn't know if she could do this. Even if she was a horror geek, everyone makes a mistake eventually. She just hoped it wasn't possible to make a mistake with her. "𝙸-𝙸 𝚍𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠 𝚒𝚏 𝙸 𝚌𝚊𝚗 𝚍𝚘 𝚝-𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝," Gyda stuttered out, afraid. She didn't want to be the cause of one of her friend's murder. That would be the death of her. "𝙾𝚏 𝚌𝚘𝚞𝚛𝚜𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚌𝚊𝚗. 𝙸𝚝 𝚒𝚜 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚊 𝚋𝚞𝚗𝚌𝚑 𝚘𝚏 𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜."
"𝚈𝚎𝚊𝚑, 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚌𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚔𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚖𝚢 𝚏𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚜." Once again, the male on the other side laughed. "𝙿𝚛𝚎𝚌𝚒𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚢." Before Gyda could make a remark, the dead line came up and she realised that the murderer had just hung up on her. She scoffed and pulled her white hair out of her messy bun to get ready for the rest of the day. If she could considering what had just happened, she knew that she wasn't going to be happy for a while knowing that her friend's lives could be on the line tomorrow.
For the rest of the day, she avoided phones and that ended up with Sidney and Tatum coming over to check if she was okay. Surprisingly, Billy and Stu didn't come over like they usually would on a Saturday night, but Gyda forced herself to not think much of it as she has had a very disturbing morning and just wanted to go to bed early so the weekend would finish and school would start again.
The white-haired female didn't think she would ever think about being excited for the weekend to be over, but bad experiences changed that for her. She had her shower and got dressed in her pajamas that consisted of shorts that had an image of a strawberry on it and a matching shirt with the same strawberry on it, but bigger and in the middle. The blue eyed teenager grabbed her brush and brushed out all the knots that have embedded themselves into the strands of hair.
Knocking on the window scared her and she frowned, turning swiftly to the source of noise only to see Stu waiting with a grin on his face. "Stu! Nice of you to come by," She murmured, lifting the window up for him to come in. Once he did, she shut the glass window so no mosquitos would enter and bite them. "Sorry I was late. I did call, but you seemed to not answer." Stu rubbed the back of his neck, before laying on the bed and looking over at the girl who's bed he was laying in.
Gyda didn't usually fall asleep with Stu like she would with Billy. Stu was the one where she could start pillow fights and talk nonsense with. Billy was the guy that comforted her and would do silly things with her. The Australian was only here for another six months before she has to go back to her home country and have her life there again, so the group decided to spend as much time with her as possible. "Yeah. I had a call from the murderer, nothing big. Just wanted to taunt me a little and I just avoided the phone since then," Gyda mumbled out, grabbing a pillow from her walk-in cupboard and turned around to whack the taller boy in the face.
Stu stared at the other in surprise and shock, before shooting off the bed and ran after the runaway victim who laughed as they trampled through the house. Her exchange parents didn't do much except chuckle in amusement. They were used to the two chasing each other around the house. Stu eventually caught up with her and tackled the Foreign student into the carpeted floor. Hissing in slight pain, Gyda Romanoff had completely forgotten about her concussion, the bruises along her back and the fact that the floor would cause her carpet burn. "Sorry, love."
Gyda waved it off, getting up from the ground and Stu gave her an apologetic smile, reaching over and giving her a hug. The two teens embraced each other for at least a minute or two, taking in each other's comfort and warmth. The first to pull away was Gyda, who had a relieved look on her face. "Y'know, I'm glad that Billy was not the murderer. If he was, well, I would have kicked him in the dick." Her blunt words were just in her nature that would slip past every now and then.
A flicker of warning flashed through Stu's eyes that Gyda didn't catch as she was too busy trying to crack her back without it hurting to ease the stiffness in certain areas. "How do you know it isn't him?" Stu queried, curious but also slightly amused. "Well, for one, Sidney said he climbed through her window whilst she was being chased by the killer. It couldn't have possibly been him. Second, he probably would have killed me the other night whilst I slept. So, he is innocent." To say Stu was impressed would've been an understatement. She was an observer, but she had definitely got a few details wrong. But he definitely wasn't going to tell her that.
"That is true. Do you want to stay at mine tonight? This house must get boring after a while," Stu joked, ruffling the girl's hair. The said girl looked down at her pajamas and shook her head. "That ain't even your usual outfit to bed, come on, please?" Stu whined, huffing. Gyda shrugged her shoulders, it was rare of her to wear shorts to bed and she bit her lip as she thought. "Only if I get to cook breakfast tomorrow." Stu grinned widely, cheering as he raised his hand in the air.
"Deal."
"Oh, by the way, Tatum will be there too." Gyda was even more hyped at the mention of another one of her friends coming over for the night. "Let's go, I just need to pack a bag for tomorrow. And, can I borrow a shirt of yours?" Gyda rambled on, noticing Stu nod his head at her question and she bolted up the stairs and into her room.
She was gonna have fun this weekend and the killer wasn't going to stop her from enjoying it.
