"Hello dearest!"
Cedric flung his arm around me, bringing me into his side.

"Hello Diggory.

I swatted his arm off, fixing my tie and tidying up my uniform.

My family and I have spent the summer with the Diggory family.

Our parents have always been close friends, which resulting in me sometimes 'babysitting' Cedric.

Being two years older than him, you'd expect him to be happy that I won't be on his tail during attending Hogwarts.

Yet, he was getting very clingy, whining about how he'll miss me when I'm gone.

Flattered, I am, of course. But he's in his fifth year now, surely he can handle himself.

"We'll sit together on the train, right?"
He asked, tugging on my robes.

"I'm sure we will, we're both Prefects after all."
Pulling him up from where he was seated, we went downstairs.

"Mmm.... Bacon and eggs!"
We laughed to ourselves, immediately rushing downstairs.

"Good morning children!"
Mrs. Diggory greeted us,

"Sit down, breakfast will be ready soon."
Doing as we were told,
the adults conversed among themselves while us, children, waited for our food.

A loud yawn came from the stairs, revealing a tired Jean. Sitting down beside me, she immediately rested her head on the table.

"You know, if you'd sleep much earlier, you wouldn't be this tired."
Cedric mused, his smirk growing wider as Jean gave him the finger.

All of us grabbed a plate, serving ourselves some bacon and eggs.

"What year are you in, Elle?"

"Oh, I'm a seventh year now."
Amos grinned,

"Take care of our Cedric for us, especially now since Sirius Black has escaped Azkaban."
I nodded, scoffing.

"I already do. This little git won't let me go!"
Ruffling his hair, he laughed.

"How's Viri? She's doing alright by herself, I hope."
My mother asked, her tone filled with concern.

"Yeah, she says she is. We've been writing back and forth consistently this summer,"
Jean gulfed down her orange juice after.

We had less than thirty minutes to get on the train. The three of us were rushing, carrying our trunks behind us.

"Thank you!"
I said as Cedric took my owl's cage,

"Come on, bub! Pspspspsp..!"
Jean kept calling her cat, who was struggling to keep up with us.

As we were about to enter Platform nine and three-quarters, Jean slowed down.

"Come on, Jean! We're gonna miss the train!"

"Coming, coming--"
Her sentence got cut short when someone tackled her down. Sending them both on the ground.

"What the-- Eddy?!"

"Hey, you little twats! Viri and I have been waiting for you lot!"
He pinched Jean's cheeks.

I helped them both up as people have been staring at them, and I was getting a little embarrassed.

Viri had called us over and rushed us in the Platform.

Thankfully, we jumped on as it was starting to go.

As the windows were covered in frost, with black figures flying past. Cedric and I ducked down as we saw one coming our way,

"What are they..?"

"I don't know."

As we were checking each compartments, making sure no one is hurt, a man with scars on his face passed by us.

Smiling warmly at us both, he stopped for a moment and gave us some chocolate.

"I'm sure this has been a scary experience for you. Here, chocolate always makes things better."
Then he walked off.

"I don't know who that was but he's right."
Cedric took a bite of the chocolate, still checking each compartment.

We arrived where our friends were and they immediately asked us questions.

"As if we'd know the answers,"
I said, closing the door behind me.

"But are you guys really okay?"

"Yes, Viri. We are okay, I swear."
Looking out the window, we had huddled close together.

As usual, Viri was arguing with Eddy. It's a miracle Jean can sleep with this much noise, with Cedric's laugh surrounding us. I just sit back and ate my chocolate,

As the choir stopped singing, Professor Dumbledore started his speech.

Looking at the teacher's table, I saw the same man from before.

"Welcome, welcome! To another year at Hogwarts. Now I would like to say a few words before we all become befuddled by our excellent feast,"

I looked over at Eddy, already stuffing his mouth with food.

Looks like someone had already started their feast...

"First, I'm pleased to welcome Professor R.J Lupin, who has kindly consented to fill the post of Defense against the dark arts teacher.
Goodluck Professor!"

The man stood up, politely bowing as we clapped.

Sitting back down, Jean had conquered my attention as she kept whispering nonsensical things in my ears.

"His scars on his face, how'd it happen?"
I shrugged, trying to shake her off.

"How much you wanna bet it was a werewolf..!"
She snickers,

"What..?! Merlin's, no!"

I mean, what are the chances of it being a werewolf?

Professor Dumbledore's speech had ended, and we started to gobble down our food.

Laying down on my bed, Jean laid on top of me.

"Ow! Owowow! You're heavy, Jean!"
I tried to push her off, but she held on strong.

"Come on, this is the last time we'll be together!"
That really confused me,

"What?!"

"I know how much of a teacher's pet you are. By tomorrow, you'll be walking beside all the Professors."

She pouted, poking my side.

"Yeah, well.. Atleast I'm the cool type of teacher's pet. And besides, all I do is help them with their errands and such."

She cackled and went to her own bed.

I greeted her good night as she turned off the lights,

It's gonna be a busy day for me tomorrow..
