Classes had ended and students were packing their trunks. Preparing to go back home for the summer, but so was one Professor.

After the clinic incident, we'd have been distant and awkward.

I've been a bum, of course, but luckily Cedric had managed to cheer me up a little.

"Why the long face? Are you sad we won't be together this summer?"
I stood from behind, locking my arms around his neck.

Then I started squeezing.

Screaming in pain, I let go of him, chuckling.
"Of course I'm sad! We're graduating already, and I'd have to get a job-- Oh, Merlin.."

The young boy laughed,
"Why don't you take your mind off it? Help the Professors and such,"

"What need do the Professors want if they're not doing anything?"
He shrugged, letting out a small sigh, I left the common room.

Walking around aimlessly, reminiscing of my previous years in Hogwarts, a pesky tear had managed to escape.

How Millicent Bulstrode started hating me after I had accidentally pushed her down the stairs one to many times.

How Jean and I became friends after despising each other.

And how Viri and Eddy were fighting over a girl in the halls. Everyone looked at them like they were crazy.

I laughed to myself, how silly we were. Helping the Weasley twins occasionally with their pranks,

Hogwarts will always be special to our hears.

Without meaning to, I found myself in front of the DADA classroom.

His office is right there...

I entered, quietly knocking on his office door.

"Come in, please."
The door creaked as I let myself in, seeing him tense up for a moment upon seeing me.

"Hello, Ms. Bryce."
He stopped calling me Ella, making my heart hurt a tad.

He continued packing his things, avoiding looking at me.
"Hello Professor..."

Awkward silence came between us, the slight ruffles of papers as he ripped it apart. Throwing it in the fire,

"Preparing to go home, Professor?"

"Yes, Ms. Bryce,"
He glanced at me,

"I resigned, actually.."

Resigned? Why would he resign?

Was it because of me?

"Don't worry dear, it's not anything about you."
I nodded, biting my lip.
