After everything that happened last night, it's best to say I had managed to get out with just a fractured ankle.

No one knows, of course, or else how am I to explain it to them?

'Ah yes, I fractured my ankle after running away from a werewolf that was my Professor!'

No way in Merlin's beard am I to spread that around.
Professor Snape is probably itching just to say it.

Sure, I could just lie, but I'm a terrible liar.

I spent days walking with a slight limp. Not too noticeable, thank heavens.

But my friends have noticed, not too good.

"What's up with you?"
Cedric asked, looking at my feet I had tried to hide.

"Ah, nothing. Just pulled a muscle I think."

Viri clicked her tongue,
"You're lying."

"I'm not."

"Are too."

"I'm not!"

"Are too! You're nose twitches when you lie!"
She pouted with furrowed eyebrows..

I sighed and apologized,
"Look, I appreciate the concern but I really just did pull a muscle.."

They all looked at me, unsure whether to believe me or not.

"Okay, we'll believe you for now."
Jean said, rushing to finish off her essay.

I bumped into Professor Dumbledore, humming to himself.

"Hello, Ms. Bryce,"
He greeted after I tried so hard to just speed by him.

"Hello, Professor.."
He smiled, but looked at my feet.

"I'd suggest you go to Madam Pomfrey,"
Pointing at my ankle, I simply shook my head no.

"Oh, sorry Professor, I've no idea what you're talking about."
Smiling at him, I went to my classes.

Great. Just great.

Us Prefects were gathered, excused from our classes to entertain a class of first years.

How? To act, of course. Thankfully, they let me be the narrator.
So, I can sit down and just read the lines out.

Thankfully, Cedric did his best acting as Yvanna visibly cringed.

After the play, Professor Binns thanked us for helping him out and let us stay until our next class starts.

Looking out the door, catching a glimpse of Professor Lupin walking by the door.

Excusing myself, I walked close behind the man in front of me. Smiling to myself.

You know, I'd find myself thinking about him sometimes.
