Rice water - Hair & Skin

Rice water is meant to condition your hair and promote growth. My mother's been bugging me to write about this for a few days now. It's something she and my aunt used to do as teenagers. This treatment was used by Asian women for centuries. Rice is rich in minerals and vitamins, and is said to do wonders for both hair and skin.

What you can do for your hair: (Once a week)

1. Cook the rice as you would normally. At around 10 minutes, drain the water into a container, and add new water to continue cooking your rice.

2. Wait for the rice water to cool.

3. Wash your hair.

4. Apply rice water.

5. Wait 10 or so minutes and wash it off with water.

What you can do for your face:

1. Wash your face.

2. Apply the cooled rice water as you would apply a toner.

It helps improve complexion, softens the skin, may get rid of age marks and firms the skin, thus making your pores smaller.
