Chapter 19 ~school~

I wish I could say I was happy right now. But all I feel is anxiety and worry. Just when I thought things would go smoothly, I got a call from my mother. At first I didn't think much of it. As we do call regularly, you know so she can check up on me and my studies.

But this phone call was not about me. She dropped the news that she is coming home early from her trip. Out of all times, she just had to come back now.

As I walked into school, annoyance was clearly written across my face.

"Y/n, what's up?" I suddenly hear a voice chirp behind me.

I turn my head around, snapping out of my thoughts.

"Sakura, just in time!" I say to her as I drag her with me to my locker.

"H-huh y/n wait" she says confused as she's being dragged along.

I explain the whole situation to her. Telling her how my mum is coming break early and is not okay with me having a boyfriend.

"So just don't tell her" she says as she shrugs.

"Thanks, I never thought of that" I roll my eyes as I make a sarcastic remark.

"Look y/n, your just going to have to be extra secretive, she won't find out don't worry" she try's to give some advice.

I just look down and sigh. I mean she's not wrong. I will have to keep everything on a low. Get things done, try and keep conversations minimal. It would be hard to contact him when she's around. But I've got to make it work.

I look down giving it more thought.

"Oh and also, I think you should tell kuroo" she adds making my head shoot up.

"Tell him? Why?! I don't want him to see me weirdly" I replied.

"Y/n he has to know otherwise he won't know what boundaries he can't pass" she explains

"If you tell him, you can both work on hiding your relationship together. Besides your mum doesn't let you date because she doesn't want you to get hurt. Once she sees how nice kuroo is I'm sure she won't mind" she tries to cheer me up.

I just nod on response. I should tell him. Also maybe after some time my mum won't be fully opposed to the idea of me and him together?

"Y/n!!! Stop overthinking things" sakura says as she shakes me.

"Live a little jeez" she adds rolling her eyes.

I shake my head and smile. She's right I guess I just have to go with what happens.

"Oh oh and also" she says as she shows me her phone screen.

"Look who texted me yesterday!" She jumps pushing her phone in my face.

I adjust it so I can clearly see:

Yesterday at 7:01pm:

Ichika: hi, sakura

Me: ?

Ichika: your probably confused as to why I'm texting you.

Sakura: well duh..

Ichika: At lunch, come upstairs to the roof, bring y/n too.

Sakura: why?

Ichika: if you want to know, come

After seeing those messages on Sakura's phone my mouth was left open. I was confused.
