"I bought linguine with collard green and trumpet mushrooms. And I requested to pu--"

"And you requested to put additional scallops on my serving kasi alam mong gustong-gusto ko yun," Hunter said, completing my statement.

I let out a chuckle and gave him a nod. "Sa Parallax ko yan binili, your favourite diner." I made a click sound using my tongue. "Tapos kumuha rin ako ng mozzarella pizza nila. I don't have enough time to cook so I ended up grabbing foodstuffs at the beanery pero..." I trailed off as I wiggled my brows. "I baked a cake for you." I untangled the blushing ribbon around the box, giving me an admission to open it and pull off the cake inside. "Happy Birthday," I greeted as I held the flat carton at the bottom, ascending the cake in front of him. "Walang candles so walang blowing session pero tignan mo yung calligraphy ko dyan, ang ganda."

"You baked for me." He laughed. "You baked for me," he repeated and bit his lower lip, impeding the appearing arches upon it.

I creased my brows. "What's with that expression? Kinikilig ka ba? Para kang tanga! Itigil mo nga yan!"

"Lol, akin na yan," he said and hauled the cake from me.

"Sayo naman talaga."

He carefully put down the cake as he blithely took multiple camera shots of it using his phone.

I couldn't help but laugh at his actions para kasi siyang ewan, iiling-iling tapos tumatawa-tawa.

"Thank you, Vyxen," saad nito at saka ako binigyan ng banayad at maikling halik sa labi.

I motioned my fork in a circular motion,  churning the pasta with its relish while Hunter clenched the haft of the plastic pie spatula and wielded his force downward, shredding the cake and reaping a fraction from it. Inuna kong kinain ang green pasta habang siya naman ay nilantakan agad ang keyk. The main dish should be taken first before the dessert, but I don't want to ruin his mood kaya hinayaan ko na lang siya besides trip niya yan.

Kinain namin ang mga pagkain na dinala ko habang nagchi-chitchat about random stuff at hindi namin mapigilan tumawa-tawa sa gitna ng pag-uusap dahil sa mga rubbish things na bolt of the sudden lumalabas sa mga bibig namin. Well, kapag si Hunter talaga ang kasama mo expected na mahahawa ka sa kabuangan niya kaya ang ending mapupuno ng waves of laughter ang surrounding niyo.

"Ah," he emitted and formed his mouth into a sphere shape.

"Alam mo namang I'm not into that flavor, diba?" I said when he offered his spoon with a large scoop of vanilla cake.

"Then you should have baked red velvet."

"But that's not your favourite, it's mine. Sino bang may birthday?" I rolled my eyes. "Nga pala masarap ba?"

He gave me a nod. "Sobra."

"Buti na la--" I stopped as my eyes widened.  "Seriously? You had already eaten up more than a half portion of the cake?" I said in disbelief, "ang bigat kaya niyan sa stomach and one more thing aren't your taste bud gets fed up eating that sweet?"

He wagged his head. "Hindi, gawa mo eh."

"Masarap ba talaga?"

Dumako ang kanyang tingin sa keyk na halos maubos niya na. "Isn't that obvious?" Nginitian niya ako at mula sa tapat ko ay lumipat ito ng upo sa tabi ko. "Gawan mo ulit ako next time ah."
