"There must be somethin' in the water
'Cause every day, it's gettin' colder
And if only I could hold you
You'd keep my head from goin' under"
-song: Bruises by Lewis Capaldi

IT HAD BEEN a while since Ophelia had seen daylight.

She wasn't sure how many days it's been since she got there. Draco had been making up excuses to go to the dungeon almost every day. He hadn't figured out a way to successfully get her out. He felt extremely guilty that she was practically starving alive in his basement.

It didn't help that Bellatrix would always pay her and the other prisoners a visit every morning.

She sat with her back pressed against the cold wall. Her body sore, beaten, and numb.

Ophelia swallowed hard and hugged her knees to her chest. Her teeth tugged at the skin of her lip, trying to make it stop querying. She gently closed her eyes, and began to sing softly under her breath.

"Once I had a love and it was a gas
Soon turned out had a heart of glass"

She opened her eyes and stared at the cement ground as she tried to calm herself down by singing her comfort song. It wasn't helping like it usually did.

"Seemed like the real thing, only to find
Mucho mistrust, love's gone behind-"

Her voice began to crack as she thought of her mother. She gulped trying to choke down the sobs she was holding in. She wanted Draco. She needed him to come down here and set her and all the rest of the prisoners free.

        She wanted to go home.

Her vision began to come foggy as tears slipped down her bruised cheeks. She took off her cracked glasses and placed them on the floor next to her. She wrapped her arms around her legs again and leaned her forehead on her knees.

      "Love don't cry,"

Her head shot up to the sudden hushed voice.

Draco quickly glanced around the dark dungeon, making sure he wasn't seen by anyone else. He knelt down to her and pulled something out of his pocket. "Eat." He shoved a green apple into her shaking hands.

She shook her head "I-I can't," she whispered "Not when the others don't get food."

He frowned "Ophelia," he warned "You need to eat I-"

"No," she protested "It's not fair."

"Well life's not fair," he watched as her bottom lip quivered. He sighed and placed the apple next to her "I'll get you out soon," he placed his hands on her knees "Actually very soon, I have a plan."

She tilted her head "What is it?"

He licked his dry lips "Next week, at nighttime I'll sneak you upstairs, I'll get your wand for you, and then I'll apparate you out of here." His voice was just under a whisper. "You okay with that?"

She nodded and gave him a weak smile "Yeah," her voice rasped out.

Draco felt a pit of guilt form in his stomach as he observed her. She had been there for more then a month. A month. He knew she didn't know that. There wasn't even a way for her to tell what time of day it was. How would she able to know the amount of time passed? How would she know that her father had put a section in the daily profit about how his daughter was missing?
