Summary

English: Adeline Hayes comes from a small town in Maine. She was raised by her single mother who was a workaholic. Adeline grew up with a great gap in her home life. With the lacking presence of her mom and a dad who died when she was young, she yearned to live a larger life than she had at home. Adeline dreamt of trading out her small town In Maine for the big city one day. She is finally offered the opportunity when she is accepted to attend Columbia university, an Ivy League school in the heart of New York City. Adeline had dreamed of attending Columbia for years and when she is finally accepted her small town life quickly becomes a life that she's wanted for years. She moves into the city and is paired to room with her soon to be two best friends, Eden Hemple and Ashley Loven, who are also freshman attending Columbia University. After squeezing all of their belongings into a small dorm and saying goodbye to their families , the three girls instantly hit it off. Between Adeline's innocent outlook on life, Ashley's rebellious tendencies and Eden's ditzy personality, the three girls balance each other out. On her final day before her college classes began, Adeline went out to explore the city and get a better feel of the New York way of life. After wondering deeper into the city, Adeline finds herself lost and on her journey back to her dorm she quite literally runs into the famous actor Timothée Chalamet. Timothée was any girls dream. With his dark, wavy hair and quirky personality, along with his sudden rise to fame, Timothée was the most desired actor in all of the city. Their relationship begins as just friends, casually texting. After a while of remaining just friends, both Adeline and Timothée find themselves infatuated with one another. The two decide to advance their relationship and take it to the next level. Making their relationship public caused a new found attention that Adeline was not used to. All eyes were suddenly on her relationship. Tension began to rise and Adeline and Timothée's relationship is put to test when Adeline visits back home to Maine, and rekindles a friendship from high school with a boy who had intentions of becoming more than friends. To add onto the struggling relationship, Timothée's ex girlfriend makes her way back into his life. After trying to push her away, Timothée falls victim to her manipulative antics and begins a long journey of unfaithfulness. The guilt weighed heavy on Timothée and soon became unbearable. After Timothée confessed his infidelity, Adeline cut all ties and avoided him at all costs. Adeline spent months of misery, trying to revert her focus to school and trying  to ignore the fact that Timothée appeared to be doing just fine without her... or so she thought. After running into each other late one night in a cookie shop, it was clear that there was unresolved tension between the two, even after the months they spent apart. Timothée decides it's time to fight to make things right and begins an effort to repair their broken relationship. After endless fights, many tears, and the fight to reassemble their broken relationship, Adeline and Timothée finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Adeline suddenly finds herself, three years later, preparing to walk across the graduation stage. She looks back and reminisces on the past four years.  With an engagement ring on her finger and her fiancé watching from the audience, Adeline graduates college and prepares to take the leap from Ms. Adeline Hayes to Mrs. Adeline Chalamet. The future is unknown for the two but with the past put behind them and the endless possibilities ahead of them, the one thing that is certain is that they don't see a future without each other.
