Amity wondered who that girl was. The girl Luz was getting along well with. She was short with dark blue hair and green eyes. She was really pretty too. Amity knew she had feelings for the human but was unsure of how to tell her. Amity just believed that Luz would never like her like she liked her.

"You just going to stare at her or...?" A voice behind her asked. It was Ryan Silvers. Ryan was a tall boy with long, swept back, brown hair and purple eyes. Ryan and Amity have been acquainted since they were really young, as their parents were colleagues. According to Amity's mother, Ryan was the sort of rich and high status boy that Amity should marry. What Odalia didn't know was that Ryan was a gay mess just like poor Amity. Amity and Ryan had never really been close friends but since they were both two gay people with very homophobic parents, they started to bond a little.

"What took you so long?" Amity asked as Ryan handed her the drink he had gotten for her. "Were you flirting with the guy behind the counter again?"

"Well yeah," Ryan laughed. "I mean if you had the chance to flirt with Luz I bet you'd do it,"

Amity blushed at his statement and hit him on the arm. Ryan laughed.
"Who do you think that girl is?" Amity questioned and Ryan smirked as he knew Amity was jealous.

"Her name is Jayda," Ryan said. "She's a new student here who's taking at least three tracks,"

"You find that out from your little flirt buddy," Amity smirked and Ryan rolled his eyes at her.

"Well I think you might want to go and save your girl if you ever actually want her to be 'your girl'," Ryan smirked and Amity sighed.

"It's not that easy Ryan-," Amity had leaped into a whole conversation about what a mess she was as Ryan made jokes and also tried to be supportive.

Luz on the other hand, was staring at them from afar. Not in a weird way of course. Who would ever know Luz Noceda to be weird?

Luz had started feeling certain things towards Little Miss Perfect. Luz couldn't help but wonder if Ryan was the guy Amity wanted to ask out to Grom. Luz knew that it made her sad, angry even. However, she couldn't get involved in Amity's love life. Especially since she thought she could never be in it. {Luz you dumb child}

"So, do you want to study together after school?" Jayda smiled knocking Luz out of her trance.

"Uh yeah sure," Luz smiled nervously and Jayda beamed.

"Great I'll see you then!" Jayda waved goodbye as Luz sighed.

Luz thought, if she started to hang out with a cute girl like Jayda she would get over Amity, right? Luz couldn't help but think about the Blight. Her smile made her heart stop and her eyes were like pools of honey you could get lost in. Luz sighed once more as she made her way to her locker and then to her next class.

Luz pushed the doors of Hexside open and took in a deep breath.
"Ah finally, fresh air," Luz sighed happily and her friends laughed.

"Hey owlet," Eda smiled as she was waiting for Luz to come out.

"Hey Eda," Luz smiled and wrapped her arms around the Owl Lady.

"Bad day?"

"You could say that," Luz sighed. "Although I did make a new friend who I am going to study with later,"
