First "I love you" (Lumity)

Luz and Amity have been dating for 4 months. Both of them were at the Owl House in Luz's room cuddling. Amity was softly singing as she knew Luz loved it.
"Mmm I'm so tired," Luz said as she snuggled closer to her girlfriend. The witch chuckled as she stroked Luz's hair.
"Why don't you just go to sleep then?" Amity asked.
"Because I love cuddling you," Luz murmured.
"I'll be here when you wake up silly," Amity laughed as she kissed the Latina's forehead.
"Yeah but I want to enjoy this moment when I'm awake," Amity giggled as she continued to look through her scroll.

After 5 minutes Amity quietly giggled again as she heard Luz snoring.
"I love you so much," Amity whispered into Luz's hair. "I hope you feel the same,"

The next day Luz noticed that Amity was acting strange. She was having those sudden panic moments that she would often have before they started dating. Luz was worried about Amity. Willow tried to reassure her, as she obviously knew why Amity was acting this way, but Luz still couldn't get it out her mind.

Luz couldn't stop staring at Amity during abomination class. She knew Amity was secretive about her feelings. She was never good at expressing herself the same way Luz was. Upon noticing Luz staring at her, Amity blushed and looked away.
"Hey, Amity are you ok?" Luz asked putting her hand on Amity's shoulder.
"M-Me I'm fine," Amity squeaked out.
"Are you sure?" Luz continued to ask, her concern for her girlfriend growing.
"Positive," Amity calmed down a bit as she noticed how worried Luz was. Amity didn't want to worry Luz.
"Only if you're sure," Luz said grabbing hold of Amity's hand.

Once class ended Amity rushed out the door to go panic in the bathroom while Luz went towards her locker. She then got a message from Amity asking to meet her by the grom tree after school. Luz began to worry again and sighed as she made her way to her next class.

Amity stood at the grom tree waiting for Luz. She kept fiddling with her fingers as her anxiety ate away at her. What if she doesn't feel the same? What if she's not ready to say it back? Growing up in the Blight house was never easy. Amity didn't know what love was supposed to feel like before Luz came along. As the pair grew closer Amity was able to find the true meaning of love. However, Amity was never good at expressing her feelings. Which is why it's so hard for her to tell Luz she loves her.

"Mi amor!" Luz shouted as she ran over to Amity. Amity loved it when she called her 'Mi amor'.
"Hey Luz," Amity blushed as Luz kissed her cheek.
"What did you wanna talk about?" Luz asked.
"I just have to get something off my chest." Amity started. "Something I've been wanting to tell you for a while now,"
"You're not breaking up with me are you?" Luz gasped.
"No! No!" Amity reassured. "It's not like that at all,"

Luz sighed in relief and relaxed a bit. Amity on the other hand was panicking. She didn't want to make Luz uncomfortable but she just couldn't hide it any longer.
"L-Luz I" Amity tried but the words never left her mouth.
"Amity whatever it is you know you can talk to me about it," Luz said resting her hands on Amity's shoulders.
"I know it's just really hard to say,"
"Just take your time," Luz gave her a smile, Amity couldn't help but fall in love all over again.

"I just wanted to tell you," Amity bit her lip before finally saying,
"I-I love you,"

Luz gave her the most dopey smile Amity has ever seen in her life.
"I LOVE YOU TOO!" Luz exclaimed, as she embraced Amity.
"R-Really?"
"Of course you idiot!" Luz exclaimed resting her hands on Amity's cheeks. "I've always loved you,"

Amity didn't say anything else but just kissed Luz before pulling her into a massive bear hug.
"I love you Luz Noceda," Amity whispered
"I love you too Amity Blight," Luz whispered back.
