{Mama Eda chapter 🥺}

It's been 3 months since Luz had returned home. 3 months since she last saw Eda and all her friends. Luz was not herself. Camila has noticed it as soon as Luz came back. All the light in her young girl's eyes had died out and her enthusiasm was short lived. Camila began to panic. Laying awake at night wondering if sending her to summer camp was a good idea. Was it all her fault? What did they do to her there?

In reality, Luz was just missing her second family. Luz was unsure of how to tell her mother about the boiling isles. She also had an argument with Eda before leaving. A stupid argument about how Luz almost got herself killed while fighting another monster. Luz was afraid to go back and face the Owl Lady. Afraid that Eda would still be mad and turn her away.

Meanwhile, Eda was afraid of the same thing. She didn't mean to yell at Luz but seeing Luz almost die made her heart feel things she couldn't handle. Plus all of the stress from having to watch her kid leave was killing her.

Eda had finally made up her mind. 'Tomorrow I'm going to the human world to apologise to Luz' Eda thought you herself with a smile before falling asleep.

Luz was always a morning person. However, today she just wanted to curl up in a ball and stay there. It was a Saturday so there was no school.
"Luz?" Camila asked knocking on Luz's door. "Are you awake?"
"Yeah Mami," Luz said. "I'm awake,"
"Good morning Bebe. Are you ok?" Camila asked.
"I'm fine mom," Luz lied. She was not fine. She missed Eda and King and all her other friends.
"Ok," Camila said. "Your breakfast is down stairs on the table. I've got to run to work so I'll see you later tonight,"
"Bye mom, I love you", Luz said.
"Love you too Mija," Camila said before leaving.

Luz ate her breakfast and decided to start some drawings on her notebook. She drew a sketch of Willow, Gus and Amity. She sighed to herself. Even if she was having an argument with Eda she should go see her friends. Luz groaned at herself in frustration.
"What am I doing?" She said to herself. She got dressed, put her shoes on and went to the abandoned house in the woods.

"C'mon Eda please have the door open," Luz begged but as she stepped through the door...nothing. She just stepped into the house and didn't end up in the Boiling Isles. Luz sighed. Luz tried another 10 times but still nothing.
"Maybe I should come back later," Luz sighed.

Luz started making her way back home until she saw a bright light flash behind her. In the door stood her mentor. Eda.

Luz's heart started to beat rapidly and tears threatened to leave her eyes. The Owl Lady also looked surprised to see her. Tears also forming in her eyes. No words were spoken.

Luz ran over to Eda and swung her arms around Eda knocking her off her feet. Eda just hugged back, loving the feeling of having her kid in her arms again.

"I'm so sorry," They both said at the same time. They both laughed and remained on the ground tightly holding onto one another.
"I've missed you so much," Luz said crying.
"I've missed you too," Eda said while also crying.
"Eda are you crying?" Luz asked as she looked up at the Owl Lady's face.
"No there is dust in my eye," Eda lied and Luz laughed.

Luz and Eda finally pulled away from the hug and sat on the steps of the house.
"So how's human school?" Eda asked.
"Boring as hell," Luz sighed. "I miss Hexside."
"King has missed you, he keeps asking about you" Eda said.
"Can I see him!" Luz asked jumping up off the steps.
"Of course you can," Eda didn't need to say another word. Luz ran through the portal to be met with the Owl House itself.

"Luz!"
"King!"
Luz pulled King into a massive hug.
"I've missed you," King said clinging to Luz.
"I've missed you too boo boo buddy," Luz said kissing King's forehead. Eda giggled at the sight.
"Told you I'd bring her back," Eda said ruffling Luz's hair.
"You want to stay for a bit kiddo?" Eda asked.
"Yeah my moms at work so I'll have to tell her about this tomorrow," Luz said sitting down on the sofa.

"Well whatever she says I'm not letting you go again," Eda said sitting next to Luz and wrapping her arm around her.
"I'm not letting you guys go either,"
