Folashade..

I watched with keen interest as the police men do their job, the station was literally filled with people, particularly some families came to see  their kidnapped daughters..some girls were taken to hospital after few inspections, some had body injuries while some were mentally stable due to fear and torments..

At least a large number of the kidnappers were caught but the boss and few other managed to escape

"You can't treat me like this!" I heard a familiar voice shouted, i looked up to see it was ria,

"I was also kidnapped, ask any of these men around" she shouted

"Young lady, just shut up and let's do our job" a sergeant said

"Oga police, she be our oga wife o"(she is the wife of our boss) one of the kidnappers interrupted the sergeant

"No! No!, you can't do this to me, i don't know what he is talking about" she said amidst tears

I watched as she was dragged away alongside with other kidnappers...I felt pity for her..

I was lost in thought when a police officer called my name

"Folashade" the police called for me

"Yes" i replied softly

"Follow me" the police officer said

I was taken to an inspector's office

"You may leave" the inspector told the sergeant

"Have your sit" the inspector said to me

I took a sit close to mum, truthfully i was surprised to see her, why is she here? I remembered clearly i had dropped Temmy' s phone number in my statement..she raised her head slowly to look at me, she looked pale infact she looked miserable

"Folashade, do you know this woman here?" The inspector asked me

My first reply was to deny of knowing her afterall she never loved me nor treated me right

"Yes sir, she's my mother" i said fighting every possible means of not breaking down in tears

"Oh my God!" Mum said as she break down crying

"It's ok madam" the inspector said to her

"Shade, your mother gave us a call few days ago, infact she really assisted the  police in catching those criminals it's been years we have been trying to catch those guys but one way or the other they managed to escape but we are grateful because your mother was able to give us vital information which really helped in arresting those criminals.." the inspector said

The inspector later talked to mum for few minutes, I was absent minded..I needed answers because I have lot of questions to ask

"Thank you so much ma'am" the inspector said

We left the police station, now we were outside.. silence pushed its way between us

"How are you feeling" she said breaking off the silence at last

"Am fine" i replied not looking at her face

"How is princess?" i said

"Your sister is fine" she replied God knows how much i have missed her

We stood for another two minutes without talking..I guess she's trying hard to talk to me or rather be nice I thought..

"Your father is in the hospital, he had an accident on his way home the day he had you kidnapped" she said in a broken voice
