Chapter fifteen

The drive to my house was really a stressful one, i checked my wristwatch  its already 8:30pm i looked at mum, she's already sleeping, poor mum! she must be very tired, i pulled over on getting to the front of my house, i needed to open the gate, on stepping out,i saw a figure of a man in darkness outside my gate "good evening sir" he young man said
"good evening" the face then became clearer, its Gabriel, my new gateman

"Oh its you, Gabriel" i said not really surprised "sorry i didn't keep to my words, the traffic was really bad, i would have been back earlier than this"
"Its ok sir"
"Is sammy home? i mean did you meet a lady when you came?"
"Yes sir, she left this afternoon, and she gave me keys to the house"
"Alright, you know what to do right, your job starts now"
"Yes sir"
I left him and i went inside the car, mum is still sleeping, Gabriel opened the gate while i entered into the house

"Mum, we are home, i tapped her lightly on the shoulder" she opened her eyes, i helped her down into the sitting room.. gabriel already helped with the bags inside..
"Thanks" i said to him
"Mum.., i said turning to her "make yourself comfortable, i need to talk to gabriel, i will be back shortly
We walked outside together, i showed him round the house, i also explained the do's and don't i wanted and he seems to understand them perfectly...i later showed him the quarters he would occupy

After i was done with the gateman, i went back inside to join mum
"Ola, why is your house so quite, its empty" she said sitting up straight
I didn't really understand what she's emphasizing on " mum, i don't understand what you mean" i replied sitting down also
"Why would you understand, by

next month you will turn thirty-one and there is no single trace of a woman in this house not to talk of children, ola why have you decided to punish me this much, you are my only  son and i expect you to make me happy, my mates are already with   four to five grand kids, please tell me why you have decided to punish me" she said almost crying... I wasn't ready
for this, right now i am so tired "mum! you are very tired, you need a good rest, we can talk about this tomorrow, why not go inside to freshen up" i said obviously not in the mood for a wife discussion now
"Oh, so there is no sense in what am speaking now" she said already in tears, oh no! she simply knows how to blackmail me emotionally, i won't fall for this, no no! not now
"That's not what i meant mum, i promise we would talk about it tomorrow"
"Ok"
I helped her stand and showed her to the room she would stay..when we reached the door step, i suddenly remembered she hasn't taken anything since morning "mum, should i fix you something to eat, you must be very hungry" she didn't reply, she entered the room quietly and close the door.
My mother can be so dramatic at times, i know she's hungry and she needs to eat something..
I headed straight for my room, and then to the bathroom, the water did well on my body, i was calmed..i hurried outside and dressed quickly, i need to get what mum would eat
I got to the kitchen, but i couldn't make something reasonable, so instead to wasting more time, i need to get her something at a restaurant.

The drive to the restaurant was a short one...i paid quickly for the things i bought, on my way out i received a text on my phone, i stopped to see who the sender was, its sam!
I entered into my car and checked the content of the of the message

"Hey baby, sorry i couldn't make it tonight, i hope you are not stressed? i really had a long stressful day, am sleeping over at kiki's...i know you miss me baby! i will be at your house first thing tomorrow morning!
Bye baby..i love you!"

I would have replied her message but i had to rush home quickly, i started my car and was about leaving but then i saw kiki, she was with two men..i slowed down to get a clearer view and i saw another lady with her..her face wasn't so clear but i could bet she looked exactly like sammy...could it be Sammy? 
I stepped out of my car and slowly walked towards where they were sitted i tried to avoid been seen, the closer i got the clearly i could see them, my hunch was right.. It was sammy, i could see her very well, she was sitted on her guy's lap..they kissed passionately, they were were so into each, the truth is i wasn't really surprised, Collins clearly warned me about sam, this is really not the first time i have caught her cheating..but I was gonna look for a right time to end things with her...
I walked back into my car and put a call through her, she answered at the third ring.

"Hey babe, i got your message not too long, how are you and where are you?

"Am so tired baby, i had a long day today and am so tired i told you am at kiki's house, we are  preparing dinner  right now, baby let's talk tomorrow"

"Alright, my regards to kiki..have a lovely night rest, i love you"

"Love you too baby" she said and ended the call right away.
I watched as she laughed together kiki, she must be having so much fun.. i promise i would never deprived her of that fun..i would as soon as I can end things with her, i can't continue to leave like this.. she must have thought she fooled me....
