"Am pregnant" i said, a small frown lay across my face...i stared at chief's face, truthfully am scared of whatever response he's going to give now..
I held kiki's hand for comfort, we both looked at chief's face carefully, i couldn't tell what he is thinking of..
"Are you serious?" chief asked sipping his wine unmoved
"Of course" i said rolling my eyes.. what a stupid question to ask i said to myself
"Kiki please hand over the pregnancy report" she opened her hand bag and brought out the paper..
"Here it is chief" kiki gave the report to him, am scared what if he doesn't accept this pregnancy?
"Wow! this is a good news!" he said excitedly "you are pregnant? for real?" He asked again for further clarification, so he was actually waiting for an evidence..old man!
"Chief! don't you trust your girl? the pregnancy is yours nau" she said in my defense
"Wow! this calls for a big celebration, am so happy, sam you are definitely keeping this pregnancy" he said which suprised me a little 'old man' i murmured
"Yes o chief" i said happy rubbing my stomach
"Good news, good news! sam you have made me happy, request for anything you want, am ready to do it for" he said.. this is good for me i thought, am so happy chief didn't ask for an abortion, all i have to do now is to inform ola about my pregnancy and i have to be fast about, maybe his mother can finally recognize me..that old witch, let's see how she will push me away this time!
"Chief, i need a new car o, you its not proper that i walk in the sun with your baby ehn?" i said touching my stomach time to time
"Consider it done baby, anything for you" he said smiling
"Thanks chief, also its better i start shopping for the baby needs, and i will need just five hundred thousand naira for a start and i want it right away" i said suprised at myself, i looked at kiki's face again
"Consider it done" chief said without sparing me a glance, he looked so serious typing something in his phone, anyways it's isn't a problem i should worry about..
Excitement filled the room, i considered myself lucky for this pregnancy, i and kiki chatting away happily while chief kept typing and receiving various calls..
"Thank you darling, i have seen the money" i said beamed with happiness i blew him a brief kiss.. Finally chief set to take his leave i couldn't be more happier, i have pending issues to discuss with my bestie..
"Take care of yourself and my baby" he said, i gave him a tight hug then walk him to his car..

"Sam, can you see? chief is all over you, can you see how happy he was to receive the news of your pregnancy, can you?, it's high time you settle with chief Adams o and forget about that stupid ola of a guy, he can't offer you this much" she said with all seriousness on her face
"I know, i told you i love olaolu, don't you still get it?" I frowned now i don't want to talk about it anymore, she's prying too much in this matter and i find it so annoying
"What's this stupid love you are emphasing on ehn?? the Sam i know is not a weakling, you are getting carried away and it would ruin you" she explained gently "am your best friend and i want nothing but the best for you, leave this guy alone and focus on chief" she explained further
"I understand you kiki" i said and remained quiet for some time...suddenly i clapped my hands together "let's go shopping!" i cried happily
"We haven't concluded on this matter sam" she snapped
"What is it!, i don't want to talk about this issue" i fired back at her
"Ok! no problem" she rolled her eyes at me, i simply don't care, kiki is pushing on this matter far too much
"Guess what?" I said to her smiling
"i can't guess right and you know it, what is it? spill it already" she said flatly
"I met this guy last week, his name is Paul, he is so fucking cute...we met twice now and i enjoy his company..you know what i mean babe...." i explained grinning ear to ear, kiki smiled mischievously at me.."what?but you are pregnant....." she said
"It doesn't matter, you know too well chief is an old man and he doesn't last long and here i am, i am still a young fresh blood..come on don't make me feel dirty! we both love this thing" i said and we broke out in laughter
"oh really! is your olaolu also lacking? isn't he a young fresh blood like you?" she said in mockery laughing
"shut up" i said slapping her hands slightly "my ola is fucking good too you don't know" i rolled my eyed
"Whatever" she replied "i thought you said we needed to go shopping for the baby things, let's get going then"
"Hello! i never said 'shopping for the baby' am shopping for myself and probably you too" i said waiting to see the reaction on her face
"Fuck you" she smirked
"I would go see Paul by six this evening, there's something about that guy i like" i explained recalling how my last fling was with him too bad it didn't last too long
Kiki laughed at my expression.."go on girl! you need it!!" she yelled while i was already off to my bedroom
