Hello!! This is just an extra explaining the curse! Not super serious, just a lil fun thing bc it has hard to explain within the perspectives and because that way I could include others!! Soo, in this world of the Finch curse, Ame and Russia aren't the only ones!!! The list also includes Kazakhstan, Japan, and a couple others. I'm not gonna say the other be heheheheh!!! Also yeah uhh, it's a lil based in history and a bit based on countryhumans media(art/videos/writing) I've seen!! If you recognize something from somewhere now you know why!! :) Oh yeah and if I reveal any other Finches I'll list em here :D

Japan's curse works in such that they have two forms, the female one where they are a neko and act more peppy and embrace some of the internet and gaming culture, and are more the the people aspect. The male form is a normal countryhuman, acting more stoic and quiet, representing the business side of the country. In times of war he also embodies the army aspect of the country, being particularly serious then. They share memories, and act as though both are the same person, but the personality/bodily change is present and can happen spontaneously. This occurred due to/represents the massive shift in the country after WWII. Such a massive change caused said change. They can somewhat control when they change, but can change at any time and does not correspond with emotions. Their sight also somewhat suffers, especially worse in the female form, despite not having any habits to cause such. They can survive without glasses/contacts but is recommended to wear them when driving.
As you can probably tell, the curse worsens when present amongst other finches for extended periods. When such happens to Japan, they can become stuck in the current form and be unable to shift for days, or constantly shift and be unable to keep a steady form. Their memories can also be affected in such periods, experiencing memory loss during switches and at worst can forget whole days. Their vision also can worsen with this, causing them to need strong prescription glasses and is considered legally blind without them in such a state. This can last for 2-3 days depending on the severity.

Russia's curse is similar, having a physical change. Russia in times of extreme emotion can transform into physically appearing as USSR, though keep his own memories and personality. In such moments his blood will appear dark purple and will overall be more prone to bruising and can easily lose a lot of blood. Has increased strength though. His right eye will appear gold and glow a soft yellow, and any tears will appear grayish-lilac. He is more emotionally unstable though in such a point and can be prone to lashing out easily. This is based on his father, and how the communist political system still has a large hold in Russia. The Soviet Union is still commonly discussed in Russia today. The bruising and blood is representative of how the country is still corrupt and unstable.
When his curse worsens, his personality can change and at extremes he will essentially be a reborn USSR. Afterwards he can experience residual effects, such as the easy bruising, his eye still being gold, and memory loss. Once in the full USSR form it also takes longer for the effect to subside and at worst can stay as such for up to 4 days.

America's curse is that he sees countries as their past flags/forms. For example, Russia would appear to have USSR's flag and hair color, though would maintain his hair style and clothing along with other accessories. The curse can be limited by wearing glasses/shades, and otherwise is not hugely impactful. He can get headaches though from wearing the glasses, and does have to take them off. USA's flag not changing much as others have gone through so much change recently causes him to now be "stuck in history," viewing peers not as they are but what they once were.
When it worsens, his eyes can take on a grey look, and at peak curse can appear black. He will also experience "face blindness" essentially, where he cannot recognize other's faces, though some he still can make out on his own. In some situations he can also see an even further back version of a flag, such as America seeing Germany as the German Empire. Tears will also take on the grey lilac color, though blood is not affected. Glasses are also ineffective, and only looking rather through a mirror will the true form be visible. (This does not apply to himself.) These effects can last up to a week.

Kazakhstan's curse occurs in his wings and left eye. He gained golden wings and his left golden eye due to the curse. The golden wings are to represent the mountains and beauty of the country, but how under the Soviet Union he essentially was a caged bird, unable to fly free. The golden eye is a remnant of communism. At times of emotional/mental strain feathers will appear on his back, chest, neck, and upper arms- similar to Julian from The Arcana in his reversed route. The gold eye may also begin to feel pain or have its vision blur. The feathers cannot be plucked as they will regrow, and painkillers have no effect on the eye.
When in the presence of another Finch the feathers can drastically spread, covering the lower body, legs, arms, and a significant portion of the face. His left eye can also experience extreme pain and or blindness. His wings can also grow in size, but overall symptoms can vary.

There is an exception about two Finches in the presence of one another for extended periods of time. Depending on how well they cooperate/how familiar they are with each other, the curse may remain at similar levels to their neutral state. The better/healthier their relationship the less the curse will worsen. In almost perfect relationships, the curse may be completely neutral, and those affected by the curse may even have their condition improve. This is also why Japan's curse doesn't worsen around America, why Russia's curse is okay with Kazakhstan, but America and Russia have their curse worsen while together.
